Good Monday Morning!

How was your weekend. Do anything special. Anyone go down the slide?

On Saturday,  I had a date with my girls. We went to Marge's donuts, the bookstore, Lowes to look at appliances, and Target.  Later that evening we actually bought a fridge and stove. Yay!!!  We get it delivered today.

Yesterdsay we went to Grand Haven first thing in the morning. The girls had blast playing in the sand and water. Too bad I forgot my camera card. Sad

Re: Good Monday Morning!

  • Morning!

It was my Mom's birthday, so we ended up going to an arts and crafts fair in Frankfort, but it was a big disappointment. They barely had any booths, very strange. We just hit some shops though and did lunch so it turned out to be a fun day. Yesterday SO and I gave the entire house a really good cleaning and made a yummy dinner. Pretty good weekend overall.

  • Weekend was nice.  It was the first weekend in a long time that we didn't have any real plans.  Friday we had drinks with friends, Saturday I went garage sale-ing, and Sunday I cleaned up the house a bit while Nick worked on the bathroom.  I was sort of disappointed at the garage sales we went to.  No one had anything good.

I am emailing back and forth with a woman who has a dresser for sale on craigslist though.  The dresser is cute, but one of the legs is broken, and there's a gash in the paint on top.  Nothing we can't fix, but she was asking more than we were willing to pay for something that needs repair.  Sounds like she really wants to get rid of it, because she wanted me to make her an offer.  I did, but we'll see what she says.  It will have to be pretty cheap for us to consider a broken piece of furniture.

  • I'm disapointed I didn't go down the waterslide.  But it wasn't worth driving into GR and waiting in line for a few hours.

I had a pretty relaxing weekend...nothing to special happened.

  • Good morning!

GVSUbride what type of stove did you end up going with?

This weekend DH got a check in the mail for some work he did a while ago, which he thought was volunteer but I guess not!  It was just for $60.00 so we went to Mangiamo's for dinner last night.   It was beautiful sitting out on the lawn there and the food was delicious.  Such a great night :)

  • Friday was my BIL B-day. he turned 30 so we went to the Crush for a while. DH isn't a big nite club fan so we left after about 90 min and went to Fridays and split a dinner. Saturday my cousin got married in Hudsonville and the reception was at the Amway Grand. Great food, tons for fun dancing ( me not DH ) and got to see some people I hadn't seen since out wedding. Sunday, SAD. Our next door neighbor died, she was almost 90 . I don't know any details yet, but the last few months had been ruff on her. Although she lived on her own till the day she died. Her kids live on the other side of us so everyone was close.
  • I had a pretty good weekend.

Friday night H had dinner waiting when T and I got home after work, and after we ate we headed to Lake Michigan for some swim time.  The waves were huge and the water was slightly chilly, but we had fun.

Saturday I went shopping with my mom and T, then out to lunch with her and my sister and T.  After that I went home, hung some stuff on my walls (finally!), and then we had a few friends over for some drinks.  It was a fun day.

Sunday was super busy.  H's mom stopped over unexpectedly - not complaining...it was nice since she hardly ever sees T.  The we went to a friend's baby's 1st birthday party, and after that T and I went to a pool party.  Had dinner at home and spent some time sitting on our deck watching about 8 deer frolick in the woods behind our house for a half hour.  The weather was gorgeous and it was beautiful out.

Hate that it's over!  Went too fast.

Next time you go to the Bob, hang out and try some of their other bars.  I understand not liking the night club scene...but it's easy to move around to different atmospheres!  Also, Bobarino's has DELICIOUS meals at decent prices.

It is on Lake Drive near East Hills like where Marie Catrib's and Gaia Cafe are.   You can't miss it b/c it is a giant old mansion that is turned into a restaurant.   They do Italian but also have some not really Italian but still amazing salads and sandwiches.

Plus it is a Gilmore Collection place so happy hour 4-6pm 1/2 off house wine and a few other drinks.  It is worth checking out just to have a drink on the lawn- you almost feel like you are some rich person in the English country side or something!

  • Going to be an AW for a sec:

This is what I did on Saturday night.  Right now all the frames are filled with pictured from T's 6 month pictures.  I really love the way it turned out.

  • We got a Frigidare fridge and a Whirpool stove. We were very limited in terms of fridges because we wanted to go up to 20 cu (I think ours now is about 18) and because we have an older home we needed to go narrow and tall. There were two Whirlpools that we liked but one was two deep and would have rested on the heating grate and the other we wouldn't have been able to get it through the door frames.

Our new house came with a Frigidare fridge.  I like it.

Are you going to coordinate Ts outfits from now on to go with the wall color? That is a good color to go along what he was wearing.
