*spoilerific* True Blood post
"You got anything for nosiness and lack of boundaries?"
I laughed so hard that Sookie's reaction to finding out she was a fairy was, "That's lame." Yes, yes it is.
Hoyt! Jessica! Maybe together again!
Any guesses as to what Jesus is? I'm assuming he was the demon-faced dude in the previews for next week.

Re: *spoilerific* True Blood post
I was sooooo bored by the Jesus/Lafayette acid trip. It's almost like the writers wanted to give Lafayette a boyfriend, but then didn't know where the frick else to take the story line.
And I'm glad we FINALLY got a Crystal reveal (even though those of us who've read the books already knew what she was).
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
There are too many damn story lines going on. The Jesus/Lafayette storyline, Arlene/EvilBabyRene, and the Sam backstory are boring me to tears. I'm highly annoyed at the departure from the book on the Bill/Sookie/Eric triangle. The build up in the book made sense, this....doesn't. The only reason I find Eric root-worthy is based on what I know from the books, not what I'm seeing on the screen. They are accelerating so many things (Crystal, Holly) that I don't see the too-many-storylines problem being resolved anytime soon. Soaps can get away with this because they are daily and can move people between front and back burner pretty fluidly. But a once weekly show with 12 episodes at a go? It's just not working.
That said, I do love Hoyt & Jessica, and Russell.

Yes. I didn't even finish the latest book. Maybe I should blog about that!
Lindsay, I'm in total agreement with your entire post. I figured they would accelerate some things because hey, the show probably won't go 9+ seasons, but there's no reason they needed to introduce Holly now.

I am definitely over Bill and Sookie together, but I suspect that's because I've read the first 6 books and he's a total ass in them. Or maybe it's because Eric is just hotter and more intense. Mmmmm....
I don't like seeing Pam upset. She's much more fun with her sarcastic responses and deadpan delivery.
WTF is the deal with Jason having two storylines anyway? The stuff with the high school quarterback is just stupid. I have no idea what purpose it serves. The Crystal storyline is equally boring, but at least it has the potential to become interesting. Also, Jason just looks haggard this season.
A friend was just saying she went to a True Blood watching party and they had a watermelon salad served out of a big apothecary jar. Talbott Salad!

I'm in agreement about the speeding through the show vs. the books. I also didn't see a reason to bring up the Hunter/Hadley thing right now. It doesn't make any sense with the rest of the storylines and it was just like "Oh, we need 5 minutes to fill, let's shoot the aquarium scene".
