Vent about Brother in Law
Back storyOk so my sister is a dear and wonderful girl 5 years younger than me and on her 3rd year of marriage. They came here and got married in vegas. He was wonderful then. They were high school sweethearts. Both got married to others got divorced and found each other agian. He has children she has one. Shortly after they got married my cousins daughter came to live with them she was 14 at the time and out of control. My sister agreed that they needed to get her out of where she was at so she moved in with them. They got her straight she is now a cheerleader in high school and doing well in school.
Well moving forward they all came to my wedding. My Nephew, My cousins daughter, My sister & her husband. I knew something wasn't right and asked my sister about it. Well the girl was following Brother in law around like a little lost puppy. They were acting kinda not right. My sister told me that the girl was acting inappropriately towards him and she had addressed them both on it. But I felt it was something more than that. My mother commented on it as well. Well after my sister had already decided that the girl was going to go back to her moms in another state at the end of the school year. My cousin was in agreement, the brother in law was agianst it. So my sister & cousin decided they would tell them both that the girl was going to visit her mom although she wasn't coming back. BTW the girl is 16 now.
Well my sister told me this weekend that she looked at her husbands email a few weeks back and found out that this girl and her husband had been kissing and that he planned on moving to whereever the girl wanted to go to college. I am so disgusted and want to kill this man. My sister is working on saving money and she is in a contract job that ends in March, so she can move out and is now living in her office of their house. My cousin won't do anything about it. My sister is destroyed and I am so far away all I can do is support her on the phone and let her know I am here.
It is sick and disgusting and I can't believe this man thinks there is nothing wrong with this. Sorry to impart this on you but I am so upset I just needed to get this all out.

Oh my God. Seriously? That's just... disgusting. Did this just start when she was 16, or has it been going on since she was 14?
You said that he has children, I'm assuming they live with their mother? If I were your sister I would let her know the situation to make sure he's never been inappropriate with them.
Has she thought about calling the authorities? I'm sure it's not just kissing.. and if it started before she was 16 then it's certainly not legal.
The whole situation is just terrible. I feel so bad for your sister. She must be devastated.
Wow....that is just insane! I think the cops should definitely be involved, she is a minor & doesnt have the capacity to make decisions like that.
My heart goes out to your sister, I can't imagine what she is going through right now. Definitely be keeping her and the kids in my T&Ps.
The girl is back in Oklahoma now and my BIL is in Washington State. The emails were found after she moved back home. We thought something was going on but weren't sure yet at the wedding. We didn't know what was going on or to what extent.
Thank goodness that she's half a continent away from that creep, at least! Maybe she'll meet a more age-appropriate guy in Oklahoma...
Wow...That's really effed up - your sister must be absolutely devastated. I cannot imagine.
And yeah, sicko is right. Dude needs a serious headcheck and leave the little girls alone. Seriously - that's statutory and she's under the age of consent so even if he is "just" kissing her...that's endangerment of a minor, no?? Keep calling, Pam - someone has to be able to offer a better solution.
