I saw your pictures of your home improvements/remodeling, wow!!!! Your house is really shaping up and I really like what you've done with it. Too bad you didn't live closer, I should have hired you as a stager for my house!
For your kitchen, did you buy new doors to put on the old cabinets? If so, where did you get them? I'm curious how hard something like that would be to do...
Re: Krystal
Awww thanks Jen. Thank goodness for all the wonderful technology of youtube/internet and DIY shows/tools and having my awesome Handyman Hubby. I love how everything is turning out and it's definitely alot of work, but at least we are fixing all the mistakes that the previous owner had done to the house. I would love to have staged your house.
For the kitchen, we refaced and refinished them. Bought new cabinet doors, stained and finished them and got new hardware for them. (Cheaper and easier than ripping everything out and putting new ones. You just use the existing cabinets and replace the kitchen cabinet doors). Eric has an uncle who is a contractor that ordered them for us. It was pretty easy to do, pick a nice color stain, and sand them, and add a nice gloss. This is our second time re-doing the refacing of the doors. We are very happy how they turned out. If you have questions all about it, let me know. I'd be happy to help!
Thanks, I'm going to keep you in mind and ask if we try to do that! We aren't going to do anything with the kitchen right now, but it's definitely the thing in our house that needs the most attention. (If we can sell, though, who knows what a new house might need.)
I love what a difference that made in your kitchen.
