I want...

to be drinking a bottle of rum with my husband, then heading to the beach all fun and bubbly and drunk.  Instead, he is gone away for business (again...) and I am drinking cosmo's here by myself.  Oh well.  Cheers!

Re: I want...

  • Does his traveling ever slow down???  It seems like he's gone ALL the time!!!

  • ugh, I know.  He hasn't actually spent more than one or two nights here at home in six weeks.

Thankfully this is the last week that he'll be gone like this for a while.  Summer is ironically his busiest time in terms of being away from home.  I guess because this is when all the kids are out of school, and are available for training camps...blech.

  • I hope he comes home soon :)

Have a cosmo for me :)

  • I too want the same things you do but my hubby has been working 60 hour weeks so when he gets home he's dead tired and goes straight to bed.

  • Awww that sounds tough! I would be so lonely without HH.. at least I'd have the doggie to keep me company! Glad his busy season is almost over :)

  • I do have the pup, but she is not great company at the time being, as she is still pissed at us for having left her for two and half weeks.  She would normally be lying at my feet right now, instead she is in her bedroom wanting nothing to do with me.  Haha

I've finished off the cosmos and am now drinking a bottle of wine.  Does that make me an alcoholic?  I hope not.

Matt would say "Did you crave the cosmos and/or the wine as soon as you got up this morning? Was getting to drink one of the first thoughts that you had today? No? Then you're good."

He says that there is a big difference between abusing a substance and being addicted to it. So, while you're abusing alcohol, you are not necessarily an alcoholic for doing so. Beer

  • Hahahahaha awesome.  I am actually drinking right now because our fridge and cupboards are completely bare, and I did NOT feel like going out and getting groceries.  But we have a completely stocked liquor cabinet.  So I'm eating toast and drinking up a storm.

Enjoying, but not craving.  Got it.  Haha.
