28th Street Metro Cruise
Anyone going to that this weekend? Friday is when the car shows start. Saturday morning there's a 5K/10K race. We always go and look at the cars, and even cruise in Nick's Mustang down 28th st. It's usually a good time, and the weather looks decent this year which is nice.
If you're not planning on going, I would probably avoid 28th street if you have to go somewhere because it's PACKED bumper to bumper traffic.

I'll be in Traverse City with friends, logging my first 18-mile run.
DH and DS will likely hide out at his parents' house with the dog, since we live so close to 28th St. and the noise from the cars really drives him (well, both) nuts!

We'll probably be down there at some point. J usually likes to take the Nova for a nice cruise during it :-)
I seriously considered running, but I'm a whimp, and don't want to run by myself.
I know I can do the distance, but I've never run a race before.

ETA: I should add that I'm running both the 5k and the 10k, so I have to be done with the 5k in time to get back to the start for the 10k and get my heart rate down again. If you want to do one (or both!) of them and don't want to be completely alone, though, let me know!!
