We a lot of times do WFL/WFD posts on my local... I thought since we're all married ladies now and don't have to be planning weddings we might be cooking more.
So... What's for dinner?
Re: WFD?
Today I took a break from the cleaning the new house... went grocery shopping this morning and it put me in the mood to cook! I utilized all our leftover veggies from the last grocery trip to make stuff before they go bad... So tonight's menu:
-sauteed pork in my homemade tomato sauce
-fresh "Italian" green beans
and probably a fresh tomato and mozzarella saladmy read shelf:
Books read in 2011: 32 of 75
We're having pork too!
I'm making pork with a ginger-cherry sauce with rice pilaf and a veggie. Probaby green beans or corn.
I think DH took out a steak this morning... so HOPEFULLY it is defrosted....
Steak, Asparagus and maybe couscous?
Lisa- homemade pizza was actually one of my first specialty meals when I really started cooking. I have a DELICIOUS recipe for it that involves making the dough from scratch. DH and I have been dying for it, but the dough is kinda messy and tedious to make and it needs 2 hours to rise before making, so it's kind of an all-afternoon/all-night event and we haven't had time to make it. We can't wait until after the HM when we're all moved in to the new house and have more room and time to make it in the big kitchen
I found I really got into cooking via cooking blogs (a girl I went to college with had one) and cook books (which we collect).
Everyone eats so healthy on this board
We're making pad thai.
I'm already hungry thinking about it, and I just at lunch an hour ago!
We are having leftovers from Sunday's dinner. Pot roast, I may have mine as a sandwich. I'll probably make baked potatoes and a veggie to go with it.
I'm going to try and make stuffed green pepers for the 1st time. Not sure how to make them or what to stuff them with other then ground beef, onion & some brown rice I already have.
Any suggestions?
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
Yes! Add some small breadcrumbs and cheese to the top. It makes an amazing crunchy/cheesy topping. I loveee stuffed peppers. GL!
But I don't even know what I am making tonight! Maybe taco salad? It's been sounding really good lately.
