Clicky Poll: Wedding RSVPs
Re: Clicky Poll: Wedding RSVPs
I just sent one back and was debating with myself on this. The envelope looked so pretty and I didn't want to write on it. I decided not to bother because I know the bride pretty well and if the RSVP didn't make it back to her she would let me know.
When we were getting RSVPs for our wedding, DH and I would look at the postmark and try to guess who had sent it. So I also thought of that, even though I'm sure this is not a normal game that people play.
It is when you get guests who somehow forget to write their name on the RSVP card. My own mother did this, never mind a couple of the guests. I hadn't learned about the trick of numbering the back of the cards until after I sent my invites out.
I don't write it, but I'll slap an addy label on it if I think of it.
I had quite a few people who forgot to write their name on the RSVP and also didn't put their return address on the envelope. Luckily, I had numbered the back of my cards.
Me either.
The cards are so small that I know the postage will be enough and not need to be returned, thus not needing the return address.
We played this same game!!
We had done a mail merge on our RSVP's so everyone's names were printed on them.
I don't put a return address on the envelop, but I always write a little note on the back of the card to say how much we are looking forward to going to the wedding and then sign the note so even if I forgot to write our names on the front, they got it on the back.
