Melissa this is all a secret!
So I finally settled on getting him the Nascar experience at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He will get to drive 6 laps around the track in a real Nascar stock car. He's going to love it. ![]()
I also decided what to do about his party. After a lot of thought, if I had a huge party at a place like La Paz or something similar (it was going to be huge, between all the family and friends it would have been around 60-70 people!!!), I think he would end up feeling overwhelmed, and maybe a little embarrassed/guilty to be the center of attention for such a long time.
Instead, I think I will do a small family dinner, of just us, his Mom (and Dad too if I can get him to come), sister, her husband and his brother. Then after dinner, maybe have all of our friends meet us a bowling alley for some fun, and then surprise him there with a Star Wars birthday cake.
What do y'all think?
Re: Aw - BF's birthday present
I won't say anything.
I think he'd be far more comfortable with something small like that than any big gathering.
I don't know if you've already bought the Nascar package or if they are still offering it, but I saw something on a Half Off Depot email the other day about it.
~~~MARRIED BIO~~~
His favorite Star Wars character is Boba Fett, so I am sure it will have something like a 3-d version of him, or something along those lines.
Maybe even cupcakes, since those would be easier to share in a bowling alley.
awesome. totally awesome!
