How was everybody's Tuesday?
Mine was quiet. Worked a tiny bit on an article but that was it. Watched some of season 1 of Gilmore Girls after finish up Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I'm having fun getting to watch whatever I want on TV, whenever I want...my mom is a total TV hog.
I'm off to get ready for our soccer game. Yay. I'm going to die though, I ate like crap all week since our last game and I think I've only been to the gym once. Bleh. Oh well.
W gets to play tonight too, they're short guys, so I'm excited! ![]()
And BTW, my interview went OK. It was a group interview, with three other women. I don't know if I did any better or worse than them, I thought we all had good answers to all of the questions and they all seemed pretty personable. The only difference was I was definitely dressed better for an interview. One girl showed up wearing layered t-shirts, flip flops, and black capri exercise like pants....the other two were OK but I had heels, a nice skirt and business top....so hopefully I made a good first imnpression? IDK.
So, your turn. Anything new? Exciting? Entertaining?
Re: How was everyone's Tuesday? (And interview update)
DH went fishing with a the husband of my friend.
I went to her house and showed her wedding pictures and played with her 3 kids (one was my flower girl). Then we went out to dinner.
Earlier today I tried to return unused/unopened wine but the store said they don't accept wine returns (boo!) and went to school to work in my classroom.
I got my hair done!! wahhooo. When you're preggers, you "don't lose your hair" like you normally do, and then when you give birth, you lose a lot of hair. My hair is mega thick, but my hairdresser wouldn't thin it out for the past year and a half, because I was preggers etc. So the appointment just before the wedding, I was done nursing, and none of it had fallen out yet, but she still didn't want to thin it, just in case it all fell out before the wedding.
Point of my story, my hair has been unbearable ALL summer, since it's longer and mega thick. I reaaally needed my hair cut, plus the 3 hour gossip session is always fun!
July 10, 2010 Best. Day. Of. Life.
I got stuck doing someone else's work for two hours today in the lab.
But then we went to swing club, and it's so good to be back dancing, even if we are a little rusty.
I am actually looking forward to going back to work next week- I did practically nothing today! I was a bum this morning, but found my old hair stylist via facebook (she moved salons after I moved to Ohio), and made an appointment for tomorrow b/c there was a cancellation. I got sick of my hair last week and had a couple inches cut off at an Aveda Institute- but the cut is pretty bad for my thick, wavy hair, and need her help. I wanted to make pretzel bread, and after finding my super cute mixing bowls from Crate & Barrel in our storage unit in the basement of the building... but then I realized we didn't have nearly enough flour. So I made brownies from a mix instead. That was my excitement for the day! I also consolidated about 8 bags of "stuff" into 4 bags and I organized my suitcases (we are trying to sell the condo- and I am half living out of suitcases to make the closet look like it's neat and organized). I now know where more than two bras and two pairs of panties are!! Woo hoo!! And I "found" my favorite top and pair of capris. I feel like things are at least somewhat orderly!
i've been bummed all day...
Work was bad because it's a full moon, so all my patients went freaking crazy and it was none stop. UGH. My aides decided to be lazy and all the work seemed to be put on just one because i could rely on her. I hate that.
H is passed on the couch drunk right now. I'm also craving bacon cheeseburgers and pickles.
My night was pretty uneventful. I did the p90x ab workout - which made me realize how quickly I became out of shape after the wedding. So that was a bummer. Then I pretty much did nothing, watched tv and played around on the computer. DH didn't get home til like 8:45 so we had a late dinner and then basically went right to bed.

Work was slow (still is today), I found out from my parents they can't help with some of my school costs like they said they could - so now DH & I are trying to figure out where to come up with $$ for my books that I need to buy tomorrow. DH had to work late so I did our run with the dog instead of him and ate dinner by myself, then fell asleep on the couch watching The Office waiting for him to get home.
All in all an uneventful, crappy day.
