  • Well, i definitely made better food choices this week, but still getting in the swing of things. I ate A LOT of salad - yippee! I've actually been counting my WW points for once...which is a good thing. I need to get better at doing that, since it helped me so much before to lose weight and I'm still paying for my membership!

    I failed at working out this week...aside from a little bit of yard work and some major cleaning. Does writing a bajillion thank you notes count as exercise? JK.

    This week im going to do even better with my food choices and not have so much desert. Going to a wedding this weekend so I plan on only having 1 glass of wine and nothing fatty.

    I did forget to weigh myself this morning - need to bring my scale to our upstairs bathroom so I see it as I'm climbing into the shower in the morning. Will do that tonight so I can weigh-in tomorrow!

  • I must have not read the rest of that thread and didn't realize Wednesdays were check-in days! So, I didn't weigh myself today.

    I don't think I ate too horribly this week. I need to stop eating the bite sized chocolates that are at work though. I'm still doing the Couch to 5K - I'm on week 4. So that's 3x a week and I did the P90X ab workout yesterday which made me realize how out of shape I got after the wedding. I was able to get through most the workout without taking breaks before the wedding, and yesterday I had to take a ton of breaks. So that sucked.

    I need to start forcing myself to do the 30DS on my off days so I can get some weights and more cardio in. But apparently I'm super lazy.

  • I'm sure off to a bad start today by eating some Dunkin Doughnut Munchins :)  Opps!  I did however join a gym on Friday though I haven't been there yet due to some stressful things happening around the house.  Hopefully tomorrow I will make it out there.  My eating habits were the same this past week.  DH and I do mostly freezer stuff like fish filets and chicken patties and want to get out of that habit but again, didn't really have time to look through recipes of healthier things to try.  It didn't help either that we went to Olive Garden for the endless pasta bowl the other day!

  • I signed up for the gym and have gone everyday since!

    I'm also working on portion control and trying to eat a little better throughout the day. All in all I'd say I'm off to a good start!

  • Ohhhh I want to join in on the "fun"! DH & I started working out again together this week (we used to do this when we 1st starting dating).  And go figure we start doing this AFTER the wedding! lol

    We started on Sunday with a 7 mile bike ride, and then Monday w/ a 3 mile jog/walk through the woods & hills by our apt.  Yesterday I had to go solo as he had to work late - so I took my dog and we did a 2 mile run through the wood/hills. So far I feel great about working out, which in turn has helped me eat a little better! =)  Now let's hope I can keep this up.

    My goal is to loose 15 pounds by Christmas, and then after that keep it up! If we can both keep up the running we want to do a 5K in the spring together.

    So obviously, today is my starting day so no weigh in... BUT I have been eating better and have dropped about 8 pounds since getting back from our wedding...  I would like to be down 20 pounds by Christmas... 

    My Goals:

    1. Healthier eating, 5 days per week

    2.  Work out 4+ times per week

    3.  Lose 20 pounds by Christmas...

    woohoo... I have seen a lot of people have awesome results and success with P90X... I have it... Maybe I will break it out and dust it off! :-)

  • Eating habits still suck but I went to a spinning class yesterday & an aqua fit class this morning! so yaaaaaayyy for exercise! lol

  • I had my first official day back at work after summer break. Sticking to my goals is going to be the toughest during the first month of school. If I can get into a schedule and stick to it, I should be able to keep it up for the rest of the school year.

     Today PTA sponsored breakfast and the Admin staff provided Chinese for lunch. I did pretty well with 1/2 a muffin and fruit for breakfast, and a small plate of chinese for lunch. Dinner is Turkey and bison enchiladas. All in all, a pretty good day eating wise. No real exercise, but I did spend 3 hours moving around classroom furniture and unpacking. I'm also sore from doing Biggest Loser Bootcamp yesterday. It's a bootie scorcher with lots of lunges and squats!

    Goals:

    Workout- 5x a week ( Wed and Sun are rest days or yoga days)

    Eat : 1300-1600 cals a day
