Hollywood Casino/Hotel?

Has anyone stayed in one of the rooms at Hollywood casino?  Just wondering how you liked/disliked them (since they remodeled).  And, do you know if they offer mini fridges in each room?

Im trying to plan DH's 30th Birthday, and wanted to block off some rooms for him and his friends for a night.  I have never stayed here, so I have no idea if this would be a good idea or not.  Any feedback is appreciated!

Re: Hollywood Casino/Hotel?

  • I went to the Casino part years ago when it had just opened as the Argosy.  Sorry I don't have more info on Hollywood!

My bro, sister, & parents have all done this deal at least once.  You get a room at the Beltera & a $100 credit you can use on anything but the actual casino.  They always go to the Jeff Ruby's there but you can use it at the spa, golfing, even on alcohol or the gift shop.  This deal is expired, but just google Belterra, half off, and/or neofill.  They constantly have this offer & the prices range from $90-$110.  I think we're going to go for a night this fall.

I'm not sure if that deal would work for his b-day or not, but it still sounds fun!

  • I took DH to Hollywood for Father's Day and the rooms are really nice. Flat screen TVs, big shower/bathroom areas. Ours did not have a mini fridge so we kept our drinks cold in the bucket of ice. I tried doing the deal like the PP mentioned above but I don't think Hollywood was doing anything like that at the time. Instead, you can maybe sign up for their Players Club and get a comped breakfast or coupon or something. Have fun!

  • My friend stayed there with her girlfriend for her birthday this past spring. She got a jacuzzi room and said it was really nice--I don't know whether or not they had a fridge, but I imagine you can call the hotel and ask if there are fridges in the rooms.
  • I had my sister's bachelorette party there and the rooms were really nice. My uncle goes there like it's his job so he got us a free room so I don't know how expensive they are or anything. Ours did not have a mini fridge but I am sure you can request one in your room. If not you can always take a cooler!

I think it would be really fun to do a room block for a birthday party!!

I have also done the Belterra deal that the others speak of. We actually did that for my sister's 21st birthday (she must be a bad influence on my gambling). Their rooms were also nice and the $100 credit was NICE! We used ours at Jeff Ruby's because we are Ruby's fans... it was a nice added treat!!
