  • It appears as if I'm the only person with my new name - I even checked on Facebook :-) I never thought that my maiden name was common, until I started googling myself!

  • My old name had waaaay more hits than my new name. There was a volleyball player and a photographer with my same 'old' name. My new name only has a few things pop up

  • i get more hits with my new name. But it's a fairly common last name. My old one was not so common.

  • I went from an extremely common name to a almost unheard of name. I did a google search and only got a few hits, mostly were about me (like my videographers site came up). A kind of interesting story is that when we were looking for a venue for our reception, at the one place we checked out (the hall that we went with) the owner's wife's name is also Lisa and she is actually somehow distantly related to DH and therefore her maiden name is my new name.  I wonder if she's not the only other person out there who ever had my name.

  • Oh yeah. My maiden name....all you found was me.

There's tons of hits and other people with my married name. It sucks.

  • I seem to remember only finding stuff about me and some sorority girl when I googled my maiden name, which isn't incredibly common, but not weird, either.

My new name is apparently more common, because all sorts of people come up.  Most of them are men or women in obits (the perks of having an old-fashioned and androgynous name, I guess).  I did find one girl's myspace with a derogatory term as the name of her profile.  Awesome.

  • So I didnt think anything would come up, or at least very little.  I went from a very common name to one I that I thought wasnt very common, but I was suprised to see a lot more come up on google then I thought.

I clicked on a Linkedin page for someone with the same name as me... and her picture looks kinda like me.  A little freaky!!

  • I'm going from a fairly scarce last name to an extremely common one. I'm bummed that I can't get mynewname@gmail.com.
  • My first name is what throws it all off, both my maiden (wow that's weird to say/type) and my married name (first and last)....I'm the only one who comes up.
