39 weeks and I'm still pg
Just wanted to give you all a quick update.....
39 weeks today and not a whole lot of progress. Still only 1 cm dilated, baby is still very high. The only good news is that I am 70% effaced.
Doc started talking inductions today - if I'm still pg at my next appt (which is on my due date, next Tuesday) we will schedule the induction for the following week. They don't want me going past 41 weeks.

Okay, here's something to try.. A friend of mine said it put her into labor.. and I tried it and DID go into labor but I can't guarantee it put me into labor for certain:
Go grocery shopping.. Even if you don't have much to buy, just walk around the store. Buy 2 pineapples and some pineapple juice (I bought an 8pk of the tiny cans)
Go home, cut up the pineapple, eat a plateful. Take a 30 minute walk. Come back, drink 8oz of the juice and eat another plateful of pineapple.
Take a tums and hope it stays down!
Have DH rub your feet and your ankles.
Hopefully something will get you going! But seriously, I ate SO MUCH pineapple and went into labor the next day

Can't hurt, right? Did you ask the doctor to do a membrane sweep? I had one at 39 weeks and one at 40 weeks. The 40 week sweep definitely kick started things!
No, I didn't think about it and he didn't mention it. But I will next week if I haven't had the baby by then!

well, I ate a ton of pineapple and walked all over, and there was a full moon last night but.....didn't work!!
A bunch of girls on my Sept. bump board, including my labor buddy, went into labor last night, but not me!
aww, you poor girl! It'll happen soon, I have a feeling!
I just noticed (read back?) that you're already 70% effaced.. that's GREAT. When I went into labor I was 3cm but only about 25% effaced. My dr said that typically once you're fully effaced, you dilate really quickly. Don't lose hope! I bet you do have a weekend baby!
