Travel Wish List

So to stay awake during a training this morning, I came up with our family vacations schedule for at least the next 12 years. I do have some trips for Brian and I planned to.  Let's just say one of us needs to find a side job, maybe he can start doing wills.  ha ha

What places are on your travel wish list?

Re: Travel Wish List

  • So on our family list, I have

     Sesame Place - Philly

    Disney

Family Resort out west (one of those really nice resorts you see on the Travel channel with family activities, great food, etc.)

VA Beach/DC - when kids are older and we can do the history stuff

West Coast - WA and OR

AZ - to visit BIL and go to a ball game

Mall of America/WI Dells - do during tween years to bribe the girls with shopping)

Beaches or Club Med type place

    England (ages 12+)

For Brian and I, I had NYC, Boston, Denver, Mexico or another warm weather place, and the one city that has a baseball stadium that I need to still go to (I could only think of 10 of the 11 stadiums I still have to visit)

  • Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, visiting the Pacific NW, and taking the coastal highway from the NW to southern California. And the East Coast like Boston, and Maine, and going back to Ocean City, Maryland (where we used to vacation a lot as kids). I really have no want to go south, we aren't "beach" people.

We would need side jobs too, a few of them :)

  • I think it would actually be easier to write out the places that are not on my wish list.

I really want to go almost anywhere (as long as it is safe).

  • AZ- Sedona and the Grand Canyon and NM- Taos

East Coast tour- Maine, Vermont, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket

    Upstate New York- the Adirondacks

Pacific Northwest, and Vancouver- British Columbia, Canadian Rockies- Banff

    St. Bart's

    Puerto Rico

    Cabo

    Alaska

    Hawaii

    Disney

And then the "someday" trips (***sigh*** ):

    Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece

    Argentina

    Upstate New York- the Adirondacks

I LOVE that you picked the Adirondacks! J's family has a "camp" on Lake Sacandaga that we go to every summer. It is soooo beautiful and relaxing. We try to take a few day trips to more northern areas of the Adirondacks while we are there too--this year we visited Lake Placid and did all the "Olympic stuff". Awesome!

  • These are the biggies in no particular order:

    Montreal
    Boston
    San Francisco
    Yosemite
    Maui/Kaui/Big Island
    St. Lucia
And pretty much the entire continent of Europe.

  • We haven't really talked about it but we would like to be successful enough with in 5 years to spend Christmas in the Keys.

    Other idea's

    Pacific Highway Trip

    Cruise somewhere?

    Ireland

    Antigua

I don't have a long list mainly because I haven't thought about it

Ditto.  We've got a list ranked by priority.  It's long, and we add places frequently.  We don't just need side jobs - we need major vacation time, too!

  • I love all your lists!  I'm struggling with the vacation issue right now.  We spent most of the vacay budget (and a chunk of M's vacation time from work) on a destination wedding.  I loved being with the family, but the destination was not my first pick (and may not have been on the list).

Here's mine, in no particular order:

Munich, Prague, Poland (as one trip)

    Italy

    France (probably Rhone Valley, Burgundy)

    Sweden (visit friends)

    Ireland

    Southern Brazil (visit friends)

    New Orleans

    NYC

    Oregon

    Maine

    Quebec City

    Banff

  • Top of my list right now is Italy.  I've been watching too much House Hunters International though because I want to visit about every town they visit.

I would love to go back to Ireland.  It's so beautiful there.

More locally I would want to go to Boston sometime soon.
