Just went to the new CB2

On the way from getting my hairs cut (nothing new, just a trim) I stopped in at the new CB2.

I've always liked their catalogs, as I like modern furniture, so of course I liked it. Smile One of the few things I don't like about modern furniture is that everything is so low, and almost all the sofas and a few of the chairs were really low.  The more expensive sofas "sat" better, but even the cheaper ones were fine.  The dressers and cabinets all opened smooth, and seemed to be pretty solid. The dresser drawers were a little shallow.  The accessories was fun; I liked seeing the Marimekko prints.  I would def. go check out an item at the store before buying it, but I wouldn't hesitate in buying furniture from there.

Re: Just went to the new CB2

  • I really want to go in the next few weeks. Our dining room set is from C&B, and we've been happy with it.
  • I've liked everything I've bought from them. The couches sit so low since they are European influenced. They like to really lounge when sitting compared to Americans. I'm short and some of the sofas are so deep I feel like a little kid. :/

  • We went on Saturday. I liked it a lot. We are thinking about buying the Flex Sofa but haven't 100% made up our minds.

And OMG on the low couches! The Piazza Sofa is nice and comfy, but I could barely get off of it! The seat is like 14" high.

All in all, I liked CB2 more than I thought I would. Although a lot of the modern pieces are not quite my style (plastic and metal tables, for example).
