Fav song you danced to at the wedding?
Does any song stand out, most romantic? Most fun? Bridal Party dances?
Include pics if you have them too!
Re: Fav song you danced to at the wedding?
Man, they all kind of run together. The Cupid Shuffle definitely got all of my friends on the floor--including the ones that don't dance.
our last dance was "find out who your friends are" are we danced in the middle with everybody around us. that was nice
and a lot of the people and us were singinng along so it was cool! i dont think i have any pics of that cause we let our photographers leave before then...but the memorys good enough

I am a gluten-free, gun-toting wife! :P
I love you, Daddy...2/24/1953 to 2/13/2011
Well obviously our first dance (Then by Brad Paisley).
But otherwise we had lots of fun when California Girls came on (my request tee-hee). And near the end of the night the DJ put on Bohemian Rhapsody (basically my all time favorite song)....W and I can play some mean air guitar.
The last dance of the night was "Free" by Zac Brown Band and it was me, DH, MIL, FIL, my parents, my sister, BIL and SIL all in a circle dancing. It was pretty awesome.

Kaynix21 - that was our 1st song too!!
DH took me to see him on my 8th birthday (5 years ago seems like such a long time!). We love him!
Other then our 1st song, DH & his friends are big hunters and its always a tradition at all the weddings that all the "hunting" guys get together in a big circle and sing "Fred Bear" By Ted Nuget. Its soo funny to see all the guys in this big circle with the arms around each other getting so into a song.
My dad & his friends who DH hunts with every year even got out there with all of the "young" guys.
It's also a tradition with my friends that at all the high school dances & now our weddings we all get together and sing "Friends in Low Places". I have no pictures of this one, but it was a sight to see too. LOL
My MOH, another BM, and I used to love Nsync so it was only right to play one of their songs! So we did the dance to bye bye bye haha.
Also, "This ones for the girls" My DJ called all the girls out! I sang every verse to the appropriate age group and the people they reminded me of, it turned into a huge circle around me and I was pretty much just thanking all the girls, thats a moment I'll never forget!
Hands down, it was Africa. It was 2am and there were only Morris cousins and a few BP's left and we were all verrrrry intoxicated. The heaven's had opened up and it was raining, big drops the size of marbles. We all went outside on the deck and got drenched and sang at the top of our lungs. Amazing memories.
I woke up the next morning singing "I bless the rains down in Africa..."
DH thought he had it all on video, but when he pressed "rec", he had actually made it stop recording. Instead, we have a 10 minute video of the floor with him trying to get everyone back to the hotel safely to continue the party. lol
July 10, 2010 Best. Day. Of. Life.
We had so much fun dancing, I can't even begin to pick a favourite. Our first dance was great, because DH rarely dances, and he did SO well.
For our parent dances, we invited any other father-daughter & then mother-son duos to join us, and it was really neat. Here's a photo from our Mother-son dance:It includes from left, my mom & brother; my aunt & cousin-usher,DH &MIL, DH's childhood friend/neighbour & his mom. We had about 20 duos for each dance, it was great. During the father-daughter dance, my grandpa danced with all 4 of his daughters, which was beautiful because he has Alzheimers, and really isn't "there" much any more.
Fairly early in the evening, we did the Locomotion! It was over 120 people long, I was running out of room to keep the train going. We ended up in a giant, connected circle, it was great:
I danced with my brother, a lot, but we danced to one of our favourite songs from childhood, here:
We also had close to 100 people doing the Macarena: (this is BIL & MIL)
And a large group did the Twist! This is my usher-cousin & my aunt:
We also did Boot Scootin' Boogie. I'm not sure what my brother & GM were doing, but I love it! Basically, we did a lot of popular group dances, and they were all a hit. We even did the chicken dance, and the floor was packed.
Other favourite moments (so far) not caught on tape : a large group of guys started chanting FIL's name during instead of Rasputin during Rasputin. Everyone circled around him, and he danced with all sorts of people, my brother did the Russian dance, it was terrific.

My
I really need to find some pictures! We had a band (3/4 of an Irish punk band- kinda like the soundtrack for the movie PS I Love You)- and my most favorite songs we danced to were the song for the bridal party: Dancin Shoes by the Tossers:

Dedicated to me: Siobhan by the Tossers;

I didn't dance to this next one- but the floor was packed. There is a set dance (kind of like a line dance or square dance, but an Irish version) that most of my cousins know b/c they took Irish dancing. The band did not know it, but they used someone's iPhone to look up the sheet music and learned it and played it. It was so fun to watch! There were 4 or 5 groups of 8 dancing. At the end- the band played it even faster than they had been, too.

Finally, I don't remember what song it was, but my 10 year old niece was dancing by herself, so I pulled her over to join DH and I... and she got all mad and said "Aunt Ellen, you aren't supposed to be dancing with ME, go dance with your Lover!" We almost lost it!
That is freaking amazing! H would've died if I insisted on playing Backstreet Boys.
our first dance!! We had it choreographed to go along with the words to the song (Lucky-jason mraz& colbie callait). I messed up some because my dress' bustle sucked, but it was so great:
I'm not going to do a pip, 1 because i'm being lazy... 2 because i'm a little drunk.
Favorite dance was our first dance.
Fun dance was everyone following me with come on ride the train
Most memorable was probably everyone on the dance floor to fleetwood mac's "landslide" i cried dancing with my stepdad.
"Friends in low places"
We also did Then for our first song and it was amazing. I honestly don't know if I can point out a favorite of the night because there were so many great memories for each song. I loved "I gotta feeling" because all my college girls and I danced together for that. The father-daughter dance was amazing because we nailed our funny part in the middle and got everyone cheering. One of my favorites that I have a picture of so far is Cotten Eyed Joe. We were in lines going across the dance floor and it was sooo much fun!
My two brothers are in the grey vests...they were dancing fools all night and I smile everytime I see this picture. Our last song was "Send Me on My Way" by Counting Crows and our whole WP got in a circle with our arms over each other just dancing. It was so much fun!
Chicken Dance-one of my favorites...the DJ had my husband put on these ducky slippers...it was so funny
Shout-one of the first songs my husband and I danced to when we were dating (at a wedding)
Our first dance-I Cross My Heart
Footloose-one of my favorites
