...Just when I thought I said all I could say
My chick on the side said she got one on the way
These are my confessions
Man I'm thrown and I dont know what to do
I guess I gotta give part 2 of my confessions
If I'm gonna tell it then I gotta tell it all
Damn near cried when I got that phone call
I'm so throwed and I don't know what to do
But to give you part 2 of my confessions
Hahaha ok so putting Usher aside for a moment, here is my confession of the day: my bedroom is a complete and utter disaster zone, and I am completely avoiding cleaning it because it's just me here until Sunday...so it can sit for a few more days. I'm sure Dave would be completely horrified to see how bad it is, I haven't even finished unpacking my bags from our trip. There are shoes and clothes EVERYWHERE and random bits and papers and souveniers and god knows what else. I feel justified in sitting here in this mess because all I ever do is clean (which I typically enjoy, actually) and the entire lower level of our house is spotless...so if anyone comes over they wouldn't even have any idea of how messy it is in here. So there. I will clean sometime between now and this weekend.
Re: These are my confessions...
So I haven't cleaned my house in like 3 weeks. It's pretty nasty, but I have no motivation at all to clean it. I started to pick up some last night... did the dishes, some laundry, but that's about as far as I got.
Speaking of dishes... I confess that I'm going to kill my husband if he leaves one more damn peanut-butter encrusted eating utensil in my freaking sink. SOOOOO disgusting. I was putting the dishes from the sink into the dishwasher and there was a spoon AND a knife completely coated in old peanut-butter. I wanted to vomit.
I confess I've been waaay too moody this past week! I'm on my 3rd week of a new bc pill so I'm not sure if its just because of that or because I'm getting ready to start my period. Either way I've never been this moody and I don't like it =[. If it doesn't straighten up I'm going to have to call my doctor.
YES.
Matt does that, and it drives me crazy. I get that he didn't grow up with a dishwasher, but we have one now. It's right under the spot on the counter where he stacks his dirty dishes. How, how is it less effort to precariously stack them all on top of the counter instead of opening the dishwasher door and loading them inside, where we don't have to look at them and then handle them again later?!
Or... Adam will use a paper towel and leave it sitting on the counter... RIGHT NEXT TO THE TRASH CAN... dude, seriously??? Because it's so much easier to just stack trash on the counter than it is to step on the little lever and put something in the trash
Confession: It's only 10AM and I'm starving and seriously considering heating up my lunch right now.
I confess that I do this. I'll wait till the sink is full before I load our dishwasher
We don't use our dishwasher. Ever. Is that totally bizarre? We have a big, brand new, beautiful dishwasher, and we hand wash everything! And we both grew up with dishwashers, so I have no idea why we do this. It just seems to make more sense to me that since there are only two of us, we just wash our dishes as we use them and put them away, so there is never any mess at all, instead of having them sit in a dishwasher and stink for a few days. It would make zero sense for us to run a dishwasher every day, because there would be MAX two dinner plates, a couple of knives and forks, and maybe one or two smaller plates and a bowl. And 4 coffee cups. We would be running an empty dishwasher, and that is a huge waste of energy and water.
Of course, washing the dishes is my most hated chore - so why the hell don't we just use the damn thing? I make no sense, and somehow managed to find the one person on this planet who makes no sense right there along with me.
haha i am jealous I do not have a dishwasher. But I do agree with jehawley, What is the purpose for just the two of us, it would be wasted energy.
My confession- my husbands clothes are going to wound up in the trash bin if he doesnt start picking them up off the floor and putting them in the hamper or the closet!!! And I sent him a txt msg at work this morning, tell him this very thing
I thought it would be this way for us but its not. By the time I get done cooking I've got at least one dishwasher load. I run ours pretty much every single day and its always full.
I don't let plates soak lol but if I have a skillet with burnt on food I'll do that.
It's a lot better to use your dishwasher than to wash things by hand. You use a lot less water and less energy to heat the water. However, if you're not okay with waiting until you have a full dishwasher, you probably are better off hand washing.
We run our dishwasher every few days. We will wash pots and pans by hand though since we use those every night and they take up so much space in the dishwasher. Luckily H usually washes those because I hate washing dishes.
Confession: I am sick of going to the grocery store. I have gone everyday since Monday, and need to go today. However, I don't feel like going out- so I am making DH stop on his way home from work!
It drive me crazy when DH puts things in the dishwasher that don't belong there!!! Don't put pots and pans in there...don't put the parts to my plastic salad spinner in there...just wash them!!
Oh, and when he takes the garbage out and forgets to put a new bag in the trash can. So when I throw something out, I need to lean into the nasty pail to get it out and then put in a new bag. Ick.
Confession (actually more of a vent, but whatever!): I think the people in my office are smoking crack. I got "volunteered" to help out all the head honchos with a bunch of random admin crap because their admin people are "too busy". Anyway, I wasn't thrilled about being volunteered since I already have a million things to do, but I said what the hell, it looks good on my part. I'm kicking myself in the ass now because every 5 minutes I get a new email "So and so said that you could take care of this".... "So and so said that I should pass this on to you." I'm going to scream.
I heart you girls. Just FYI.
Adam used to leave his dirty cups RIGHT UNDER the faucet. That drove me nuts. He told he he'd stop doing that if I stopped throwing eggshells in the disposal b/c it makes it smell. So whatever, I started throwing it the trash. Then one day I saw his cup under the faucet and said, hey I stopped throwing eggshells in the disposal, so quit leaving your cup under the faucet. Don't think he's done it since.
I am guilty of not throwing things away and leaving plates by the sink when the dishwasher is dirty. Though after dinner, if Adam doesn't put his plate in the dishwasher, I play-scold him and say the dishwasher is dirty!! Put your plate in.
I'm also lazy and don't throw things out/put things away when it's easiest.
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
