I hallucinated the other night.
I haven't been getting much sleep lately so my doctor gave me a prescription for Ambien. I took it for the first time the other night. DH and I were laying in bed watching one of our shows. I took the Ambien a few minutes before the show ended.
DH turned off the TV when the show ended and got out of bed to play video games. He walked over to my side of the bed to give me a kiss and walk out the door. As he did so I looked at my digital alarm clock. When I did so, each piece of the numbers jumped out of the clock and began dancing around my table. I was sooooo confused. I remember looking at the dancing lines on my table then at DH and back at the lines. I couldn't figure out what was going on and didn't want DH to leave. I kept refusing to give him a kiss because I wanted him to stay. Eventually he got annoyed so I gave in and kissed him and he left the room.
Meanwhile I was so concerned about the dancing lines on my table that I reached out to touch them. I was so upset by this that I remember staring the clock down until it was just a clock again. After all of this I slept so well!
I have known of plenty of people doing things after taking Ambien and not remembering doing said things. But I have never heard anyone say they hallucinated. Anyway, I took half the dose last night and was fine.
