Does Dr. Bronner's really work?
It sounds like a neat idea but I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around using the same cleaner on my body and dirty kitchen counters. I'd love to hear your opinions and personal experiences. Thanks!
ETA: Is the cost over making your own worth it? Not that I've started making my own cleaners yet.

Re: Does Dr. Bronner's really work?
It's soap. It cleans. It really does work.
I hear many people say it's too harsh for their skin. I have never had a problem (we like the almond and lavender) but if you do get the Baby mild. We use that on DS.
And making your own cleaner is MUCH cheaper than buying them. When I think about how much money I used to spend on cleaners (not to mention all the chemicals I was spreading around the house) I cringe. Vinegar is SUPER cheap.
Ditto this. I use baby mild for cleaning my Diva Cup, and lavendar Dr. B's bar soap for our bodies. I admit, I haven't started making our own cleaners either
We use Dr. B's in our soap pumps, and the middle size container lasts us 6 weeks or more. *Much* cheaper than buying disposable soap pumps filled with Triclosan.
I stopped needing lotion after I switched to Dr. Bronner's baby/mild soap, which says a lot considering I live in the desert.
I use dish soap on a lot of surfaces in my house since it's got degreasing properties. Some people use Dr. Bronner's for dishes, but I do not.
Soap is soap. It's only the colgate-palmolives of the world that have you thinking you need a different kind of soap to clean different things.
The only thing I don't use Dr.Bs for is dishes. I tried for awhile, but I couldn't get enough suds for my liking.
We use it for body, hands, laundry, all purpose cleaner, etc.

I love Dr. Bronner's. We use it for everything. In fact, this is kind of gross and I wouldn't recommend it, but...
One time I was playing with my dog and she licked me right in the mouth and it was so nasty. I didn't have anything nearby to wash out my mouth, so I used the Dr. Bronner's soap diluted with water and rinsed out my mouth. It was actually kind of sweet tasting.
Great soap. I love it, but not for mouth washing unless it is an emergency situation.
