So I don't know if I posted on here a while back but right after we moved to Texas I had a job interview at a veterinary clinic here and after we got back from our HM I had a call from them saying that I got the job and they wanted me to come in for training. So I've been working there for about 3 weeks and I've been learning a lot there but its a lot of crap work, cleaning cages, restocking supplies and all that. But its finally starting to pay off!!
Today I got to actually assist in a surgery!! It was the coolest thing ever! The doctors are starting to teach me things that the veterinary technicians are responsible for doing even though I haven't gotten my certification as one. I have a bachelor's degree that focuses in veterinary medicine but I don't technically have the piece of paper that says I'm certified to be a vet tech. So I was REALLY excited when they told me that I would be assisting with a surgery today!! It was sooo awesome, and it finally made me feel like all that grunt work was finally paying off since I've been working my butt off there to make a good impression ![]()
YAY!

A big congrats to you! That is really exciting. I don't think I could ever stomach doing something like that and am so grateful for those who do those kind of jobs!
