Any recs on the westside...

I am throwing a couples shower for friends whos guest list include around 60 people (which my house can not hold).  Anyone know of any economical places we could rent in October to hold the shower preferable on the westside but I could actually do anywhere.

 Thanks!!

  • Google Red Tree Gallery in Oakley/Hyde Park area. It's on the East Side - but you may be able to book the whole place for a private event.
  • One of SIL's showers was in Cheviot. It might have been the fieldhouse on Robb Ave-not sure, but it came up when I googled Cheviot rental halls.

A few of the parks have lodges/indoor rentals.  Mt. Airy park has a few and the Hamilton County Parks have a couple.  Fernbank is on the river, sort of Delhi-ish, and has a lodge.

There are a few VFW, Knights of Columbus halls, etc.  I've been in a few-yuck!  You could also look into a church hall if someone is a member in that part of town.  The Catholic churches will allow alcohol, some of the Protestant ones will not.

  • I didn't think of the undercrafts of Williams or Martins.  I know that the fieldhouse is booked.  That was one of my options.  Those VFW halls are gross and boring.  Thanks for the recs though.

  • Fairfield Community Arts Center has some community rooms you can rent starting at $70.

Not sure how much they cost but there's also Nathaneal Green Lodge, The Meadows, The Farm

You may also consider just going to a restaurant with a big party room such as Panera, LaRosa's (Boudinot has a big party room), Old Spaghetti Factory, etc.

  • email me at mindiosu at hotmail dot com. I have an idea but I'm not sure if it's against the rule to psot here since it's actually where I work (I do NOT get anything personally, but I don't want to be deleted!).
  • I sent you an email too.  I need to find a place to host DH's bday party in January!

  • I have two suggestions!  One-St Simon's (in Delhi) has a convocation center that you can rent out.  Or, Aroma's in Bridgetown will also let you rent their space (only on Sunday) but they don't advertise it.  The food is AWESOME and I've heard it's a nice place for a shower.  It would be a cute place.  I'm looking into it for a shower I have to throw next year.
