I had a rough start to my day. I tripped while walking up the escalator (caught my flip flop on the step, I think) and I fell and cut my toe on one foot and scraped up the top of my other foot. So embarrassing! I thought it was fine and slapped a band-aid on it, but an hour later it was still bleeding. I just wrapped it up tightly in a gauze pad and have it elevated on an overturned trash can under my desk. I am hoping that does the trick. I should have just turned right around and worked from home today. Dumb.
How is your Friday going?
Re: at least it's Friday
Oh no. I hope your feet feel better soon and that your day improves.
My Friday is a little more challenging than I'd hoped. My husband left for work and then my daughter promptly cried/screamed for 2 hours straight. She was hungry but refused to eat, kept pushing the bottle out of her mouth. She has finally eaten and is currently napping but everytime I put her down she wakes up ... unfortunately we have to go to school soon to finish setting up my classroom. I think it's going to be a long day
Your poor foot! That is awful and embarrassing but I am glad you weren't hurt more.
I am babysitting a pit bull for another rescue this weekend. He's allll puppy. We have only been up since 7 and I am already worn out LOL.
Work has sucked this week, but that is another story for another time. I honestly cannot stand people who play dumb and lazy ("Do I have to fill out every form?" Um YES, you do.")
I am glad it's the weekend though I am NOT glad DH leaves for a business trip tomorrow and won't get home until next Saturday.
Ouch! I hope your foot feels better!
This is actually a weekend I'm not looking forward to. I have to work a 12 hour shift on Saturday and then run 20 miles on Sunday (just over a month until the marathon!
) Then on Monday morning I have to go to the doctors to have my knees checked out.
On the upside, I was offered a concierge position at a hotel in the Back Bay! (Right now I'm in the Financial District AKA Fun central!) Still debating taking it but I think I may end up doing just that.
Congrats!
I'm a little overwhelmed. There is so much left to do to get ready for the year but I just want to sit at home and hang out with her. She will be staying with her grandparents though so I'm not freaking out about dropping her off at daycare.
oo .. and shes only 2 months (the ticker apparently counts down to her b-day) but i'm still amazed that she's already 2 months. She's getting big SOOO fast! I can't believe it's time to leave her already.
Wow, sounds like there's a lot going on with the ladies of the Boston board. Hope you all have good weekends, in any case!
I took yesterday off to go to Six Flags with my family
We had fun, though it was waaaay more crowded than I expected.
Today is my last day of Summer Early Fridays, which is a bummer. No big plans this weekend, so hopefully we'll get to relax a little.
HAHA whoops! No wonder it seemed like you just had her. I fail at ticker reading comprehension for the day. That's really great that you are able to leave her with family instead of daycare. I hope the transition is smooth for you.
