One of Ben's coworker/friends is getting married in early October. They sent out the invites a couple of months ago - a bit early, I thought, but what do I know, they might have a lot of people coming in from out of town or something. Anyway, there wasn't an rsvp card so I told Ben to call or email him to rsvp for us.
Two weeks ago, Ben forwards me an email from his friend - "Hey are you guys coming to the wedding? We need to get a head count for the caterers." I rolled my eyes at Ben and asked him why he hadn't already rsvp'd, then told him to answer right away with a yes and an apology for not replying sooner (having been on the other end, I know it must have been annoying for the bride).
Tonight, the friend shows up at our house to politely ask if we would be attending the wedding. Yup, Ben STILL hadn't rsvp'd.
We're THOSE people. ![]()
Re: we've turned into THOSE people
Haha, oh no! Don't worry about it too much. I'm sure it was annoying for them, but she'll see that when you're married sometimes it's a choice between trusting YH and becoming Those People, or acting like That Wife. You know, the one who is constantly nagging "Did you take care of that thing? Did you do it? Is it done yet?"

This. I've even become "That Friend's Wife"! We're going to a wedding next weekend and DH's single male friend has not RSVP'd and instead just asked DH to let these people know next time he sees them (which is the day after tomorrow). I got on his case yesterday. I've only been in the country for 3 days and I'm already the annoying wife of a friend!!
No, no....YOU aren't THOSE people. BEN is THOSE people.
