Thanks for all the congrats! We are doing great!
Harlie Wynne was born yesterday at 4:15 pm via c-section weighing 7.8 lbs. I was supposed to be induced today but started having false labor contractions Wednesday and they ended up having me go to L&D just to be safe and since I was there they decided to induce me starting Thurs morning...essentially labor never progressed past 2 cm so we went for the C-section. Everything went very well, and I've been up and walking since 4am.
"Harlie" is after my dad, Harlan, who passed away 2 years ago and "Wynne" is after DH's dad, Walter, who passed away 7 years ago. Jewish tradition is to use the first letter of the name of a dearly departed loved one.
She nursed for 40 minutes in the recovery room and has been going steadily since. Here's a video that DH took right after that--she was so alert!
