gross toilets...

Ok I have bleached, cleaned, scrubbed my toilets to the point that you could almost eat off of them, but I can't get rid of that nasty ring.  I think its mineral deposits and we fixed our softener which should help, but what do you use to get rid of it?  I tried CLR with a brush which did nothing.

PS also pregnant and getting up close and personal with the porcelain is much more pleasant when the potty is immaculate!  Please help!

Re: gross toilets...

  • This is a great subject line! What about baking soda? Do you think that might work? I know it's great for other household needs. It might be worth a try. I'm surprised that the CLR didn't work.

  • Did you try baking soda and vinegar? How about flat Coke? Sounds weird but I have tried using Coke and it worked for me.
  • Scrub it with a pumice stone (yes, like the kind you use on your feet) and whatever cleaner you normally use. I guarantee it will come off!

Please don't use the type of pumice stone you use on your feet. You can find one for cleaning in the cleaning supply aisle of most grocery stores and walmart and target.
