Raleigh area group activity help needed
I'm trying to help plan an activity for my department at work and we're trying to think of something fun that would still involve some team building or team interaction (so not just going to see a movie where you'd be silent). It would be a Friday afternoon in October and would do lunch somewhere and then an activity for at least a couple of hours. Where would you take 75-100 people in the Raleigh Durham area? I need some ideas! Thanks for your help!
Re: Raleigh area group activity help needed
MMm Im not sure how many people could go. . but one of the most fun 'team building' things I've done was to go to a high ropes course.
My favorite course is down at UNCC, but there's also one in Cary that's really good too.

Frankie's Fun Park on TW Alexander is always a fun one. Or there is a cooking school thing in Durham (I think) that lets you cook a meal together and then eat it. I think they also might do something with decorating cakes. I don't know the name of the cooking school/company, but have heard about it because my company has used that a few times. Also, you could maybe see if there is a volunteer organization you could help. Habitat Humanity, Food Pantry, Soup Kitchen, etc. I'm sure they would love your help if they have a big enough project for all of your employees.
Not sure of your budget, but my company hires outside companies to come in and do team building activities. We usually just meet in a hotel conference room and they do their thing. One of them we had to answer trivia questions to get parts to a bike, then build the bike, then ride it through an obstacle course. You got points for various things throughout the process for your team. All of the bikes were donated to the local boys and girls club.
