So Gizmo had a follow-up vet visit last night, because the courses of antibiotics we've put her through have not solved the "UTI" problem.
Turns out, it's actually stones.
So now ($130 later) she's on 2 medications plus a prescription food (that will run us ~$20/wk), and she has to go for a re-check in about a month to see if they're dissolving. If they're not, the next step is surgery.
Most of all, I hate that she's having to go through this, but I also hate the cost, especially with all of the other crap that's happened with us lately.
Next year, I swear we're leaving town for the whole month of August.
**And I know we could have it so, so, so much worse, so I feel bad even complaining. But it really does get frustrating.

Re: btw, our bad luck streak is apparently NOT done...
It is frustrating when vet bills add up. Too bad they can't be covered under our health insurance! I'd love a $20 copay for our kitties!
