officially, mrs. hislastname
I got my new license yesterday, went to the social security office today, changed my name on my insurance, and changed my name on one of our bank accounts!
The lady at the social security office asked me if I had any last words for my old last name before she changes it. She told me some women cry... it sorta made me want to. I'm so happy to finally have his last name but its weird! It still doesn't feel REAL. I guess maybe it just doesn't feel like anything is different.. besides the fact he is super helpful now!

we're having twins!
Re: officially, mrs. hislastname
I remember getting my license. I got my new license and social security card in the same day...it was like Christmas!
I love my new name although I still weird saying it...it'll get easier and less weird with time.
Congrats Mrs. newlastname!
yay! introducing yourself as your new last name is definitely the thing i still have to get used it.
except my new last name is like impossible to pronounce...so everybody at work just calls me KimZ :P

I am a gluten-free, gun-toting wife! :P
I love you, Daddy...2/24/1953 to 2/13/2011
I wish everything would transfer that easily! I got hired at a new job under my maiden name, and now half the stuff is in my maiden name even though I changed everything over to my married name!
I find that I sometimes start to sign my maiden name when I sign credit cards and am distracted. Oh well!
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
so far I haven't changed much! we changed at the bank... and that's about it. haha.
I haven't had time to go get a new license... or to go to SS Office. Luckily you can mail away for it- so I'm doing that as soon as I get a notorized copy of the marriage license. And without doing that- I can't change anything at work. haha... soooo yea... lol..
but my students call me Mrs. hislastname... and it's totally weird still. lol
I'm definitely not used to introducing myself as Ida his last name. I've slipped a few times and caught myself, but it's hard to get used to. And I really need to get new credit cards so that I don't have to sign my maiden name anymore. It's not helping with the adjustments.
