I sold a bottle of unused face lotion on Ebay. I shipped it earlier this week, it was packaged pretty well. I got an email from the lady asking for a refund. She said, the packaging was destroyed, the envelope it came in and the box the lotion was in. She never mentioned damage to the bottle of lotion itself. So I asked her for a picture of the damage. I asked her for a picture of the bottle of lotion itself so I could see if that was destroyed. I said to her, you only said the box it came in was destroyed, you didn't mention if the bottle itself was messed up. I still haven't heard from her. I mean come on, if the box is all bent up, who cares, you wanted the lotion, not the box it came in.
Was it wrong of me to ask for photo proof???
It was only $10, so I don't care, if it is truly damaged then yeah, I'll refund her, no big deal. But I just feel like she might be pulling something. It also took her 2 weeks to pay me. I had to email her several times for payment.
Booze, it's what's for dinner

Re: something i sold on ebay ??????
I totally would ask for proof no matter what she paid. That would piss me off. How is her rating?
She gets good ratings, but Ebay changed their system. You cannot leave negative feedback anymore. You can only leave positive or neutral. Funny that she contacted me about this about 10 minutes after I left her positive feedback though. Now if she is full of sh*t I cannot even leave her neutral feedback because I already left her positive which I should have never even done considering it took forever to get payment. Grrrrrr, I'm too nice.
I have yet to hear from her about my request. It has been a day.

This! Definately have her send it back to you or ask for a picture!
I just had someone tell me something I told was ripped (a small piece on an otterbox case). I have over 750 feedback with every single one being positive so I would like to think I am a good seller on there. I told her to send it back and I would refund her. She did. I also ended up refunding her the cost she had to pay to ship it back to me which was just a few dollars.
I bought some hair stuff not long ago and it was gross and not my product. It was very watery. I emailed her nicely and explained the situation and immediately refunded my shipping and payment. I did not have to send back. I was very thankful for that. I gave her a positive for fixing the problem so fast. Now the fake North Face I bought ... that was a different story. LOL
