Has anyone use the garage floor sealers such as Quick Crete?
We just bought a house and are debating doing it to our garage. The house is new and we want to protect our investment. Is it worth it? For our 3 car garage we are looking at 300-400 bucks because we need to Etch it first so it adheres.
We want to do it before we start parking in there and we close Friday so want to know if it is worth the money or any other ideas?

Re: Garage floor sealer?
We recently had it done in our garage and we are very happy with it. I think it's worth the investment. It looks great, protects against oil stains, etc.
The guy who did ours mixed in some paint chips (or something like that) to give the floor more traction and we are so glad we had that done! You'll definitely want to put something good w/ it because it is incredibly slippery when wet.
Tell me more about this! We're looking to either DIY or hire someone for our two car garage...
We had this done about a year ago. We have an extended 2 car garage. We bought 3 kits of the RustOleum expoxy shield garage floor kit in gray.
DH and I emptied the garage but hired someone to actually apply the product.
You have to 'etch' and de-grease the floor and let dry throughly. This part was done late in the day the day before the expoxy application. It involved power washing a lot of scrubbing and a terrible smell.
The next day the expoxy coats were applied. Our kits included the colored texture chips. I had the guy put extra chips in the 'walk-way' areas and near the steps because the floor is very slippery when wet without the chips. The expoxy is very thick and heavy and smells like strong nail poilsh. I do not remember what he used to spread the material, etc. It took at least a day and half to fully dry.
The finished product looks great!! I have noticed some peeling of the material only in the areas under the tires. I am wondering if the road salt from the winter caused this. We have no other problem areas.
I would have it done again in a minute!
Good luck.
