Minor Pet Peeves
There are two common ways to spell my name. For the most part, I don't care what people write if they don't know me- I just tell the barista at Starbucks my name and don't care what ends up on the cup. Same goes for a random note. But if I send you an e-mail, with signature, with my name in my e-mail address and you still get it wrong on professional correspondence, I think it's lazy on your part and it bothers me (as in eyeroll, not something I would point out). I have no idea why, it just does.
Also, I can't stand when people smack their mouth after tasting something. I know- tons of people do it and it isn't a big deal. There probably is a logical reason, I just can't stand mouth sounds.
Anyone else have annoying pet peeves?

People who refuse to use their blinker.....
People who take their rowdy children in public and then pay absolutely no attention to them, relying on perfect stranges to keep them from running into traffic or something...
People who stop IN THE MIDDLE of the aisle at the grocery store with their cart, and then proceed to browse forever and refuse to move for you to get around them. Move to the side, people!
People who talk loudly on their cell phones in public places, often disregarding signs posted asking them NOT to be on their phones....
People who call my shop asking where we are located, and when I tell them, they say "no, you're not." WTF? I somehow manage to get here every morning, in spite of the fact that it must not be located where I think it is.
People who post things on FB like "Wow.....got some crazy news today." And nothing else. And when someone asks "What news?" as the poster clearly wants them too, they say something along the lines of "I don't want to talk about it." Grrr......then quit posting about it, you moron.

Totally with you on both of those, FCB. My thesis advisor, a person I worked with for three years, STILL won't spell my name right. And on Facebook too! I'm like, it's RIGHT THERE. Can you not see how to spell my name?
Ditto on the rowdy children thing. That always annoys me, especially when I get tripped up or run into because they're under foot. On that note, parents who think they can just drop their kids off in the kids section of a bookstore or library and then go downstairs or wherever. Yeah. Sales people =/= babysitters.
And my current peeve is Sarcasm and the people who think they are clever because they are sarcastic. Sarcasm doesn't require any form of wit or intelligence, it only requires an annoying tone.

FCB- have you seen the How I met your Mother episode where Ted calls Lily Chewbacca b/c she chews so loud! Its so funny.
My pet peeve is people being late. For some reason my entire group does this at work, and I always end up chasing people down or sitting in a conf room by myself. Then I have to cut the mtg short, or reschedule b/c we can't finish in the time remaining. I'm pretty sure their calendars work just like mine. Check your calendar and show up on time!

Haha - at work this happens to me too (mostly with my overseas counterparts). They always call me Mr. Lastname. . . even when I reply and sign as my first name. They're totally surprised when we get on a conference call and find out I'm a girl. A few times I've even called in, said my name, and then been told, we're waiting for "mylastname" to join. . .lol.
Friends who stop talking to you for no reason but you know something's wrong. Be an adult and speak up.
Drivers who cut to the front of a line because they're too impatient to wait in traffic like the rest of us.
Being trained at work on how to do something then when I go back to the person to double check they told me it's wrong...f**kers. I also hate when people suck at training. They know how to do it so they assume you'll know how and get irritated when explaining it badly doesn't help me learn.
People who throw pity parties
I hate when people smack too! Or make that "Ahhhhhhh" noise after drinking something!! My mom does it and I die a little everytime she does it
