Will this bad luck ever end?
Not only has DH lost his job - but first our washer was on the fritz - now it's our dryer that doesn't work AT ALL. Now, earlier today he told me that we need a new computer, because ours is locking up. I told him about that over a year ago though, but now he's finally noticing it.
So not only are we dealing with appliances taking a sh!t all around us, but DH has no job. Well - the past few weeks - living with him has been nearly impossible. He's not coping very well being unemployed - even though he qualified for unemployment and all that went thru. I'm trying so hard to be supportive, but there are some days I want to strangle the man! He's got a temper anyway and I suppose that I owe that to his red hair. I deal with that pretty well. But lately - he's been getting mad at me DAILY for things not getting done around the house. Excuse me, I work OVER 40 hours a week - on nights for that matter and you are home ALL day? So - you expect me to work my 40+ hours a week AND still wait on you hand and foot? Um - NOOOO!
Earlier today he was complaining to me about why I wasn't more concerned with the washer & dryer fiasco. This was after the fact that last week I told that we'd just have to go to the laundrymat and get it done. He said no to that - so what do you do? I was like fine. I have enough clothes to last me another week. I FINALLY got him to understand thats what we HAD to do. So we finally have clean clothes again. I'm still trying to be supportive, but finally broke down today and told him how impossible he's being. I'm sick of getting into a fight with him on a daily basis. He even offered to go live with his parents for awhile. I just said - heck no and drive your mother up the wall also!?!?! I don't think so - she already has to deal with your dad. You added to the mix might seriously push her over the edge. I'm saying this even though she is the reason he's used to being catered to.

Oh man, sorry things are so rough right now!
I agree that going back to school could be great for him!! I've heard that skilled trades like electrician, HVAC, etc. are still in high demand, so if something like that interests him, I'd definitely recommend looking into it!!
I hope that things start to look up for you soon, and that his attitude improves too!! (((hugs)))
Sorry to hear that T. We are going through our own sort of bad luck right now. We had our car broken into while I was at a meeting Thursday and then Sunday night while we were out, our roof caught fire. No horrific damage.... roof is gone and water damage in a bed room. However, we have to move out of our house for at least 2 weeks while they take everything out and clean it. It's crazy what we have to do.
I'm on edge of what the third bad thing is going to be now.....
I'll keep you in my thoughts!
