Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

M&E closed
Well ladies ... don't go to M&E in Maumee because it's closed!! We all lost our jobs today. We were bought out a short time ago and they had to renegotiate all of the leases but couldn't work out all of them, so 9 stores total closed including mine. We had no notice. We are all eligable to apply at one of the other two stores (sylvanie and pburg) to be rehired but nothing is guaranteed.
I'm really scared/freaked out. I'm having a baby in 4 1/2 weeks so it's not like anyone else is going to hire me right now (I know they can't legally do that, but you know ...) So I'm going to try to go to one of the other stores I think. I don't want to work for a company that would treat it's employees like that but I need income for the next 4 weeks and I think it's my best option right now.
I'm still pretty shocked about it.

I would go to one of the other stores also for now just to have the income. Do the other stores feel safe?
I said it on FB and I'll say it again... that stinks.
I hope they will allow you to work for their other stores for a little bit longer... and I hope you can find something else soon! *hugs*

I'd definitely go for another location at least for now. Then once things settle down a little bit for you (like that ever happens, lol!!) then you can find something MUCH better.

That is horrible! No notice at all, I mean seriously, can't people agree on things? What are they going to use that building for now? You can't tell me that place didn't make money!

I'm sooo sorry Tammy! You know there really should be a rule - if you have to give at least 2-weeks notice - they should have to give you the same!!!!
Anyway you can get unemployment or anything? Sorry - I don't know what M&E is.
