Does anyone know of or use a site to search for commercial property for lease/rent/sale. I'm doing research into possibly opening up a boutique and am trying to put together some figures and a business plan but I'm not sure where to start with finding a good space. TIA
Re: Retail Spaces
Craigslist is a good resource, at least around here - look in the office/commercial section under real estate. You could also drive around your desirable areas and look for vacancies to get the names of leasing companies; then you can scour their websites for other available properties. The pros of working with an agency rather than directly with the property's owner - they can guide you through the process, negotiate favorable terms, and clarify things like "triple net" and "escalation."
Do you have any previous retail experience?

I have worked in retail sales before, yes. Also, a previous boss of mine opened a shop about a year ago and I helped him along the way with getting permits, licenses and such. Why do you ask?
