TMI, IM sure and I apologize.
The past few times that my DH and I have had intercourse, I have started spotting afterwards. This is not a reoccuring problem that started at the first time of intercourse. I need some advice on what you think could be causing this. Also, he seems to think that I may currently be pregnant but I have not taken a test and am not convinced that I am.
Please help and TIA!!!!!!

Re: Sex and Bleeding
Huh-wha? I'm really trying to comprehend this sentence... rephrase, plz.
Has he been especially rough lately? Sometimes that will do it. Also, why don't you take a pregnancy test? To shut him up, if nothing else?
Too much friction might be causing some small cuts that you may be mistaking for spotting. I had that problem at first, but after I explained to my fianc? that I need to be lubricated so it won't be so uncomfortable for me, he's been making more of an effort to make sure I'm in the mood before insertion.
If you do decide to take a pregnancy test (and I recommend you do, because it couldn't hurt and will give you and your man piece of mind), I recommend going with Clear Blue. It's more expensive, but that's because it uses better equipment. I take one every other month or so, since with Mirena I don't get a period at all and want to be sure.
For the record, pregnant women can bleed as a complication of the pregnancy, and some women may mistake that bleeding for their period if they don't know they're pregnant, so definitely take the test, just to be sure. ^_-
Have you had your thyroid checked recently?
I was spotting after sex...and sometimes a lot of bleeding afterwards. I went to the doc, she checked me out down there, then ordered a thyroid blood test. Turns out I have hypothyroidism (thyroid doesn't work like it should). I didnt have symptoms of this (weight gain, sluggish, cold all the time, etc). I started meds a month ago to treat it and since have not bled after sex.

What does the blood look like? Is it a deep red or a light pink? If its a light pink then its fresh blood, which would indicate small tears. If its a darker (period like) red, then it sounds like something that you should see the doctor about.
But if its just from too much friction (lightly colored blood) then I would increase how much lube you use and cut down on the rough sex. Which it doesnt always have to be rough, I typically spot a little bit after a good round of doggie.
