How do you organize wrapping supplies?

I have an organizer for my wrapping paper, but I feel like the bags and tissue paper are getting out of control.  Right now, I have the bags in a larger bag on a shelf.  Any successful tips?

Re: How do you organize wrapping supplies?

  • My storage closet is a good size so I have an over the door wrapping supply station I bought at Container Store.  The only think I still keep in a big shopping bag is the gift boxes and large gift bags.

For tissue paper, ribbons, bows, and bags I bought a 2 drawer rubbermaid organizer.

I have a 3 drawer container.  I keep all Christmas related things in one drawer, I seem to have the most Christmas stuff for some reason. I keep all other bags and tissue paper in another drawer and all cards and bows and such in the third drawer.

  • i have a plastic underbed storage box (sterilite or rubbermaid i think) that i keep all boxes, bags and tissue in- keeps them flat and avoids destroying them.  i have all my rolls of wrapping paper standing up in a hollowed out grandfather clock.

  • My wrapping paper is an organizer. My bags are in a milcrate on a shelf. I love how they stand up right so I can see exactly what's in there. Bows/ribbon are in a photobox in the bag box.

I don't have a lot though. I buy Christmas paper that's patterned in a style I can use all year and I don't usually do a lot of bows and ribbons.

  • I also have a wrapping paper storage thingy from Target. For my bags and tissue paper, I just have them in a shopping bag and dig into it when I need a gift bag.
  • I keep all my rolls of wrapping paper in a 5 gallon bucket standing up and all bags/bows are in the spare room closet on a shelf.
