We had a guest visitor to our very swanky and modern offices today...one of my firm's founding partners brought his adorable doggie "Chewie" (short for Chewbaka) in to work with him today!
I've always felt that my current job far surpasses my former jobs in the "cool" department (and I worked for 13 years for a company that was amazing), but today's guest officially made this the coolest job I've ever worked at! It just speaks volumes that we were able to spend time with such a cutie, and it wasn't even a national holiday :-) Pets really do bring a special touch to our lives!
My respect for my workplace just shot up many a notch!!

Awww, so cute!!! Yeah we've had our share of precious lil guests at work too. People's spouses bring their little kids up a lot and everyone has a ball with them. Some of my co workers keep candy in their offices and stuff and one lady even has rubber balls for the kids to toss around. LOL One co worker's kids used to crawl under the desks to play hide and seek and I crawled under to get the one boy and he was eating D-con. I made him spit it out into my hand and started to panic when all that came out was spit. I kept saying, "E, you didnt swallow that did you? Promise?" Eehh, like a 2 year old knows what a promise is. Luckily he didnt get sick but I was sure to tell his mom.
It was always a joy to have all those cute little ones in there to visit us and brighten our day.
Oh how my life would change if I could bring Bruce to work. He'd probably manage to eat at least one of my files, though, which I'm sure my clients would not appreciate.
Some people brign their dogs occasionally, but they are small little things that aren't quite so...energetic? as the Bruce monster.
Everyone at the office took a vote on his name and everyone loved Peanut
He is an energetic little bird and he loves to chew on EVERYTHING. I am looking forward to spring to hear him sing
