nervous/sick feeling

Do you ever get a nervous/sick feeling for no reason? I've had that all day. It's not a "I feel like I forgot something" feeling, it's like an actual sick feeling in the pit of my stomach from being nervous and/or stressed about something. I just don't know what that something is and it's driving me crazy.

Re: nervous/sick feeling

  • If it's anything like what I used to feel at my old job, I feel bad for you.  I used to feel that way from the minute i woke up to the minute I got in the car after work.  It SUCKED.

Have you been under stress? Had any major changes? changed the way you ate something like that?  Or maybe it's the carpooling thing?!?!

  • All day every day for 10+ years when my anxiety was at it worst.  It's started up again lately.  Nausea, nervous, lump in the throat, the whole nine!  It's great, isn't it? Wink

Silly things can bring it on for me for what seems like no reason...what kind of moon, weather fronts, hormone changes, eating too much sugar or too much salt, etc.

  • Cristina, I think you may have hit on something - I think it is due to impending life changes I have been borderline obsessing over for the past couple of weeks. So, not something that has changed, but my over-thinking of things that will change. I need to chill.

That could definitely be it! Lately I have certainly felt like that myself now and then:)

  • Yup, happens sometimes when I'm really stressed out.  Best way to get rid of it is a glass of wine and a yummy dinner.
  • Yep, sometimes I don't know what causes it.  Sometimes it's obvious stress about something and sometimes it's simply too much caffeine.
