ASIM

Instead of TGIF, I'm going with  "Aw Sh*t, It's Monday", hahaha

So anyhow....   how was everyone's weekend?

Re: ASIM

  • Friday and Saturday were boring. Yesterday was ok... we went to the German-American festival. I rode the carousel with Meredith (who was freaked out by the horses and wanted to ride on the bench) and it made me dizzy. I am not cut out for rides any more, LOL.

I have decided that when we go to the GAF next year, the kids are staying with a sitter... there is a bunch of beer there and it's impossible to push a double stroller through those crowds!

(oh, and I did manage to get Mer into the dirndl... see siggy... but it's too short so her little booty was kinda hanging out! LOL It was cute anyway!)

  • Friday night I ran a bunch of errands and then my bff and I made some Christmas ornaments for our friends as a bridal shower gift.  Dinner with my parents, and then spent a few hours (in their kitchen since mine is so tiny, hah) making a HUGE batch of pasta salad and a whole bunch of chocolate covered strawberries.

Saturday was shower set-up at 10am and then the shower was 1-4.  Seemed to go really well! :)  Left there around 5:30 after cleaning up and all that jazz.  Spent the evening at home with DH. :)

Sunday DH and I went golfing with my dad and one of our friends.  Played scrambles, 18 holes.  A little hot, but otherwise a LOT of fun.  Took some senior pictures for a friend in the afternoon and was a sweaty MESS when that was over, haha.  Spent the rest of the evening in the A/C at home.  DH and I watched "Body of Lies" that we've had from netflix for like 2 months.  It was pretty good, but was a little  "That's it?" at the end.

Yeah, that movie didn't leave a huge impact on me, LOL. I had to look it up again to remember if I saw it before.

(I just love Leo so I tend to watch all of his movies, even if they suck.)

  • Mine started out great, went to Cleveland Friday night to see BSB again :o) Then drove to Columbus after the show to stay with my friends cousin overnight. Saturday morning we walked around a little and got Jenni's ice cream (AMAZING!) and then headed to Cincinnati for another BSB show that night. It was my delayed celebration of my birthday.

Then Sunday morning was when I got the call about work closing so yesterday sucked immensely. The bad news upset me to the point that I was sick so driving home was horrible and then I had to go to my old apartment and finish packing everything up.

  • Mine wasn't bad.  Friday night we decided last minute to go to the GAF (where I finally got to meet a Nestie who rarely comes around these days).

Saturday, when I finally dragged my butt out of bed (it was very difficult...I didn't drink, but my legs were just tired) I went and worked in Monroe for most of the day and then went to MGM Grand with my friend and her husband (and made a small profit).

Yesteray was a totally lazy day. Was supposed to go with a friend/co-worker up to Clinton Township to go to Nordstrom's (I was actually going to push for Novi) but she was too hungover from her friend's bachelorette party.  So I was lazy to the extreme.  And it felt good.

  • Friday we went to a generic chuck e cheese here with Alex and putt-putt course after a quick dinner out.  It was a great family night with perfect weather and time to unwind.

Saturday I went to the outlet mall to downsize my Coach purse and get Alex some shoes.  I then watched Alex and a friend's kid for most of the day.  We went to a playground/sprinkler park and had a blast.  DH & Alex and I then went out for a yummy steak dinner for DH's bday.

Sunday we took Alex to another sprinkler park which was a ton of fun b/c it was just the 3 of us there and we played like we were all kids.  We got pizza afterwards and did the grocery store.  A nice afternoon and evening at home followed.  It was a fabulous weekend!

  • Friday we went to the GAF, sat with Jamesgirl and her DH and fam, had a great time, ate some good food, and ran after Monk as he walked and crawled around.

Saturday, I spent the day at my moms helping get her up and situated, she was having a bad day and needed a little extra help. She had a good time watching monk play with toys and then he fell asleep. After that I came home and got ready for a wedding, It was a nice ceremony (outside at a country club, on their golf course) and Monk again spent most of his time toddling and climbing about. We had to watch him close during cocktail hour cause it was right next to the pool (WTF??)

Yesterday DH and I went to pick up some small furniture for my craft room, and then I went to Crafts 2000 with my MIL to pick up some organizational stuff for when we get the craft room put back together.

It was a good weekend, but long and kind of stressful at the same time. Today I am taking it easy.

  • Friday, we went to the GAF and hung out with Dream.  N8 loved the corn on the cob!  He also enjoyed the bratwurst.

Saturday was our lazy day.  We picked up around the house a little, had pizza for dinner, then I took N8 for a walk around the neighborhood.

Sunday, we went to my uncle's house to go swimming.  N8 was having a blast!  He kept dipping his face in the water, he thought it was hilarious.  He'll be swimming by next year for sure!

I am excited about this week, I have a 3 day workweek and a 5 day weekend!!

  • It was ok. I'm having a lot of joint pains now, in my hips of course. The joys of pregnancy. I didn't really do anything this weekend, just hung out around the house, did a little cleaning.
  • We were at the lake this weekend...it was okay, extended family drama which sucked, but the weather was great so I'm not complaining about that.  Glad that this weekend is a 3 day weekend!!!

  • Friday, we played cornhole with some friends and our place and then went out...  where I proceeded to get really, really drunk...  lol.  I made the big mistake of having five or six beers before even eating anything for dinner.  So stupid...

I spent Saturday recovering...  then, DH and I went down to SIL's for a little bit to visit with them and MIL, then went down to BG to meet some friends and went out there (I did NOT drink).

Yesterday, I went to my friend's second baby shower in Oregon and then came home and relaxed the rest of the day/night.

  • Ours was wonderful!  Rehearsal/rehearsal dinner at Navy Bistro Friday (never been there- seriously yum!)  Sylvan and amazing wedding Saturday, date day to the Zoo on Sunday!
