Warning Drivers :)

I passed my drivers test :)  I feel like I am about 10-15 years late on this, but did not need one living in NYC or Boston ( college), but Yay. Now to get a car... What should I get?

Have a good night!

  • YAY!  Congratulations!  Welcome to the road :)  Be safe!!
  • YAY!  super duper congrats!!

If you are doing a lot of driving, I would get something that was gas conscious...

AMEN. Atlanta just sucks for fuel consumption!

With a baaaaaaaaybeeeeeeee on the way I'd look at cars/SUVs that are easy to get in and out of the backseat, so 4-doors (duh) and check out reviews on sites like Edmunds.com or KBB.com

    Good luck!

  • Congrats! You'll do just fine. Wink

My ideal mom car would be a hybrid SUV with no third row seating...have fun looking!

  • Congrats!

I have a prius and highly highly highly recommend them. I totally plan on using it as my 'mom' car when I start having itty-bitties because the back seat is huge for a sedan. H drives it on his daily commute (athens-norcross) and it gets like 52mpg. Just my .02 cents :)

  • You might also want to ask about "mommy cars" Big Smile on the Bump. I have a Honda CRV and love it!

H recommended the CRv to test drive, I am terrified of test driving a car haha what if I crash it.  The wonderful world of anxiety. Good call, though I think it made it to my list, I am reading consumer reports as well to see what they recommend. Who would have thought I would be looking for a mommy car lol, I just want a mini cooper :(

  • We have a Nissan Altima 2.5 SL and really like it. DH does a ton of driving and it is pretty good on the gas mileage. We also considered the Ford Fusion (hybrid also), Nissan Rogue, and Toyota RAV-4.
