I woke up this morning, like I usually do, to HH smothering my face with kisses before he leaves for work. It's a nice way to wake up, really. I normally don't open my eyes when this is happening because I'm still trying to squeeze in extra sleep. Today, however, I tried to open my eyes and smile, because damn he puts in a lot of effort to make sure he always kisses me before work and how sweet is that?
So I go to open my eyes, and...my right eye won't open. Because it is swollen shut. I run to the bathroom, and put a facecloth on it, and it is BRIGHT red. I am thinking I have pink eye, although I don't know how I could have gotten it - I've had it once before but that was when I was working at a daycare and a bunch of the kids had it. I haven't been around any kids, in fact I haven't been around anyone really since we got back from the HM. I'm also thinking that it could just be allergies, because I do have some pretty severe allergies. But I think it's weird that it's only one eye.
It is SO ITCHY and it's kind of sore and it's really really red and it's also kind of wet...not oozing or anything, just my whole eye and eyelashes are sort of wet. It's really gross. But the worst part is that we don't have a family doctor here yet due to the crazy waiting lists, and no walk in clinics are open until 12. I can't even call for an appointment until 11. So I have to sit here in agony for over 3 more hours.
I hate today.
Re: Someone please kill me
Ugh Christine, I never thought of that. He was working with 5 year olds the whole week so it is definitely a possibility. My appt is at 12:30, so we'll see what the doctor says then!
PS I look pretty damn sexy with this swollen, puffy eye, let me tell you!
LOL not many people can pull of the swollen eye look!!
I heard you get pink eye from someone farting on your pillow....
Sorry, we watched Knocked Up the other day!! Seriously though, that sucks! Hopefully, it's not pink eye and that it's just some random freak incident.
Well, I'm back from the doctor, and he said that there's definitely something going on, and it looks like a mild form of pink eye. But brilliant me forgot to bring my insurance card with me, so I wasn't able to pick up the prescription he gave me for it, and now I'll have to wait until HH gets home from work tonight before I can go out and get it.
AND we had plans to go to a movie and have a date night tonight, our first one since, what? June? But I don't want to go anywhere with a big puffy pink eye. Rawr.
I'm sorry you don't feel like going out on your date but I'm glad your getting a prescription. Maybe you could rent a movie and have a romantic night in?
