We got the dog & the house!
We finally got the dog from our neighbor after another neighbor caught him trying to leave her on the side of the road. He's an @ss. We had offered to take her two weeks before, but no; he wanted money for her. Overall, she's pretty healthy and she's so fun loving and caring. It's fabulous (which is a pretty big statement coming from someone who swore she would never own a pet).
Also, we got the house! We're aiming for a September 15 closing date, but that might be tight. We have our renters all lined up and ready to go; they have their notice ready to give to their current landlord as soon as we close. I'm excited and terrified at the same time to have to go through that house and clean it up, repaint, clean (potentially replace) the carpets, etc. It's been a slight headache as it was a short-sale and the seller had an FHA mortgage. I also think the seller's agent is shady. Once we close and the stress is behind me, it will be a good story, but right now she just makes me angry, so I won't go there

Oh Andrea, she is beautiful!!! She looks like such a love bug. Good luck with being a pittie owner. Many people make obnoxious comments about pits, but once you get into the groove of things with her you will be so fast to defend the whole breed.
