I just saw this on my local board. What are some things in life you want to do/see/learn/try, etc. before you die. Like a bucket list?
What is one thing you have already completed that you are happy and proud of?
Re: Poll: Your List?
Once upon a time, I did make a list of "100 things to do before I die." Yeah...I have no clue where that list is now.
Most of the things on my list probably have to do with travel...places I want to go and things I want to see. I have managed to cross quite a few places off my original list. The problem is that I keep adding to the list!
Truthfully, at this point, I'm just proud of myself for being willing and open to trying new things. I love that I've climbed a couple fourteeners (and I hope to do more, once we get back to Colorado), that I own my own rock climbing harness and know how to use it, that I own my own snowshoes and enjoy doing that, that I've gone sea kayaking. I know a lot of it has to do with DH, but I like that his nephews and my niece see us as "adventurers." I want to continue that as I get older.

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
My "list" would mostly just be places I want to visit - Hawaii, Spain, the East Coast...
I also want to spend some time in England visiting places I never appreciated as a kid. I'm hoping we might go there for Arek's sabbatical in 3 years for a few months and be able to do that.
I want to start a business someday with my mum selling my cookies, tea, whatever it may be.
I also want to do the Random Acts of Kindness on my birthday sometime. I'm thinking about doing it on my 30th birthday. I'll have a 4 year old then and it would be fun to do together.
Visit every state (including Hawaii and maybe a cruise to Alaska).
Travel to Italy, Ireland, Scotland, Germany and England.
I would love to build our own home, or have a beach house/condo some day.
I want to go parasailing.
Travel to NYC with the whole family during the holiday season.
Learn how to make my Grandma's noodles (she's deceased and I just found a handwritten recipe for some in my great aunt's recipe collection we were given). I will know if they are good if my Dad says so! Im just waiting for fall weather now to try and make them.
I already accomplished making home made yeast doughnuts this weekend- My Dad has been talking about how my grandma made them all the time, and when he tasted mine he said they were identical to hers
Another family recipe that I accomplished was on my mom's side- my great grandma's chow. I was told it was even better! These are things I am proud of.
