Due to some "upgrades" (which suck) with my local Comcast service, I lost EVERYTHING in my DVR - recorded shows and series recordings.

A pair of boots I ordered hasn't arrived yet.

Sorry to make this baby-related again but my gripe of the day is that maternity clothes are so weird. I just got a big box in the mail of stuff I ordered from Gap/Old Navy during the 30% off sale this past week. Everything said order your normal size... so I did, 1 skirt - falls off completely - I dont think the thing would fit when I was 9 months pregnant. 2 pairs of pants are so long that I would need about 4" heels, the other pair are way super saggy in the butt. All of the bands are big right now but I was expecting that. I did better with shirts and the dress I got but it's like a guessing game with pants. And to top it all off - I just realized they have to be returned via mail rather than in store like normal Gap purchases.

hawki, not sure if that's a matter of maternity clothes or just weirdo Gap/ON sizing in general. That's BS it has to be returned by mail and not in store!

Super petty gripe:

My foot has had weird pain for a while now. Finally, on Satursday, I went to the doctor and got an X-ray. No stress fracture. They think it's metatarsalgia, which is inflamation of where the bones in your toes meet the bones in your feet. The doctor said take anti-inflammatories (ibproufen) and "stay off it as much as possible."

My petty gripe is that, when I'm feeling perfectly healthy, I love having an excuse to just lie around the house and read books and watch movies. Now that it's "required," I'm totally bored and miserable. I keep trying to do lots (cooking, cleaning, running errands -- all of which I was told to keep at a minimum -- and I've been forbidden to do 3-Day training of any kind for at least 7 days), but I always end up with bad pain in my foot. It's LAME!

That my anatomy class feels like cheer camp most of the time. I appreciate that my instructor is SUPER enthusiastic about the subject and genuinely wants her students to do well but OMGIFREAKINGLOVETHEENDOCRINESYSTEM at 8:00am is a bit much.

Mamie- they were done by a friend of a friend but she had no issue with how much we ordered. That was vh. Ours was great to work with but $$$. But it's worth it if you want good pics.

My gripe is that J wouldn't take me to his mom and dad's tonight so I could eat some of his dad's ice cream cake from his birthday. lol. . . Oh well, it is for the better anyway.

Lucky - thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to find some time to try some more stuff on this weekend.

Mamie - good point - Gap/ON do have a lot of inconsistency in sizes in general.

Gripe #2 - my dog is being a spaz because DH is out of town all week and he sits by the door and whines waiting for him to show up. I wonder if he does this when I leave or if its just because DH completely spoils him.

and Mamie - what boots did you order? I'm looking for a good pair of flat or wedge low heel boots for fall but don't want to spend a fortune either (especially since I'm scared by the rumor that my feet might change sizes).

I have a pair from Target last year that look a lot like those gray ones but I'm going to have to go check out the other ones... I like those. I really need to find some black boots too - but I'm thinking ankle boots for those.

Yeah, that was me. Stupid photographer. I'm still mad at her.

My petty gripe is also baby-related (sorry). I was on my way to pump at work this morning and a co-worker stopped me and was asking about the grant application I'm working on. Well, I talked to her for a good 10 minutes then noticed I'd leaked all over my shirt because I was so full (and I even had breast pads on!). So now I have to walk around work with a wet shirt.

I've been dizzy since last Wednesday; went to the doc on Friday, and he diagnosed me as having postural vertigo. After doing some research on my own, it could be allergies, anxiety, ear infection. Trying to figure out how long I should wait before makeing another apt, or possibly a second opinion.

My work appraisal was due 5/1. I'm still waiting for it. Also - we have what is known as summer Fridays, from Memorial Day to Labor Day..boss asks me yesterday - Did you take them? I said no, she says (in shock), why not? Seriously dude...your husband was dying, and you were never in work...what was I supposed to do? (someone has to be in the office).

I still don't have my wedding album. Photog sucks at getting back to me; finally heard from him last night, and he's trying to explain something about my album coming from Italy, and something with corupted files. Annoyed.

Mames, that totally sucks about your dvr! I would be so pissed. I look forward to my dates with the dvr when everyone is in bed and I can watch trashy tv in peace.

Hawki, that's so weird about your maternity order. I usually had really good luck at ON especially bummer
