Risks with BC pills? NPR Article
Hi Nesties,
Abotu a year ago I had a close call after a trip to the emergency room found that I had a PE/Blood Clot. I've been on paraguard ever since (love it by the way) but I was wondering if anyone had thoughts about this article regarding the pill:

I don't know if I have a genetic condition or other factors that predispositioned me to become hospitalized but luckily it was found in time. DH and I are Not seeking legal action, but the link does make reference to some that are.
Re: Risks with BC pills? NPR Article
That's scary! I went to the ER while on the patch. It triggered the worst asthma attack I've had in my life. They thought I had a small blood clot, too. Can't deal with that heavy a dose of hormones ever again... I'm on Mirena now. Love it!
I'm sorry you had an issue with the pill. I don't think it is fair to scare people into thinking the pill will negatively impact them. I've been on the pill since 2004 with no issues.
I do agree that people should be informed and make the right choice for them - I don't think that article is well balanced and gives both sides of the story.
Ditto, except I was on the pill for 17 years.
Really, it is ok for a lot of women to use this as their prime contraception method.
