Anyone have any suggestions/tricks for getting rid of a Urinary trac infection? I have a docs appt for tomorrow, but would love to kick it by then. I have chugged so much cranberry juice I feel like puking.
And now the pain has moved up into my lower back. Any suggest would be helpful!
(this probably should be posted on F&H)

You need to go the Dr. Unfortunately, you can't get rid of UTIs on your own and if the pain has moved to your lower back, it probably means a pretty serious infection that definitely requires antibiotics. You should get AZO standard. It will help with the pain until you can get to the Dr. but it won't fix the infection itself.
Also, not to scare you, but lower back pain in addition to a UTI can mean the infection is spreading to your kidneys. It sounds like you have a Dr appointment tomorrow which is good, but if you start having severe back pain or difficulty urinating, you should go to an instacare or ER.
If UTIs are a common problem for you, I would recommend AZO cranberry. These are different than AZO standard. They have no medicine in them. They are basically potent cranberry juice pills. I take two a day and they really help.
UTIs suck. I had 8 of them in one year.
Yep. I was going to mention this as well. That's why I like the Azo cranberry pills. All the benefits of cranberry without the sugar!
I used to be one of those girls that would get a UTI several times a year, they're awful! The pain heading up your back is a bad sign, leading in to a kidney infection; good to hear you have a doctor's appointment tomorrow.
A note about AZO...if your doctor's office does a basic "dip test" for a UTI, the dye from AZO will inhibit them from being able to read the results. Most offices send out your sample to a lab though - but it's been my experience that most walk-in clinics (say, planned parenthood) will do a dip test.
I strongly suggest a cranberry supplement if UTIs are an ongoing issue for you. And as others have said, cranberry juice cocktail isn't the same cranberry juice you need to keep on track. I found pure cranberry juice to be SO bitter that it makes my teeth hurt, the pills are a lifesaver.
Make sure you are peeing after sex! Doing that, taking cranberry supplements, and avoiding "trigger" beverages (orange juice, coffee and soda for me) has helped me kick the UTIs for a few years now.
Stay hydrated! Not drinking enough water makes me much more vulnerable to a UTI. And if you wear thong underwear every day, give it up, it ain't helping the situation any.
Thanks for all the advice and good tips!
