Southwestern Ontario Ladies?
Hi Ladies,
Just wondering if there is anyone here who was married in SW Ontario? I was married in Windsor (my hometown, but now I live in Calgary). It would be nice to hear from others who are from the same area. What was your big day like? Venue? Weather? Vendors? Funny moments?
We were married at Assumption Church in Windsor with the reception at the Fogolar Furlan Club. We had pictures in an abandoned warehouse site and down at the Detroit River (the Freedom Fest was going on at the time so we got some funny and different pics). I think the temperature that day was around 34 degrees and obviously very humid.

I'm from Windsor!
We got married at St Mary in Maidstone and also had our reception at the Fogolar. Since there was that ridiculous strike going on last summer, we had our pictures taken at Bellaire landscaping in Maidstone. Oh, we also got some pics done at SilverCity since that is where DH and I met (we both worked there)
It was the hottest day of the summer. Things went well overall except the priest announced us by my FILs name. I would never recommend my photographer but overall, it was a wonderful day.

Thanks for sharing! Oh yeah I forgot about the strike last year (I had just moved to Calgary at that time). That must have been frustrating but good thing you guys had back up plans. Do you mind if I ask who your photographer was, since you don't recommend them? Also how did you find the Fogolar? We had a few bumps along the way but the actual reception went really smoothly! (except they forgot to put out the cake cutting knife for us, so we just cut it with a butter knife from the head table LOL!)
