Crazy Economy Related AW
So today my DH got laid off from his job... some of you might be saying, wait, didn't he just get a new job? Yes, he did. He got laid off from his job that he was 3 days away from completing his 2 weeks notice with. The Portland based software company he has been working for for the last year fired 1/3 of their workforce today, all at once. DH is referring to it as a 'massacre'. Lucky for him he has his new job lined up to start on Monday, but most of the other people that got laid off had NO CLUE.
My reaction was "holy crap".

They gave him the 3 days that he had left of his notice that he was missing as 'severance'. So basically, 3 days paid vacation. Other people were getting 3 weeks - 2 months severance, from what he heard.
