Somebody motivate me please!!

So I've definitely put on a few pounds since the wedding. I don't know if the scale shows it but I can tell my stomach is just flabbier. And I HATE it!

Yet, I can't seem to motivate myself to do anything other than my couch to 5k runs. I told myself (about 3 weeks ago) that on my off running days I'd do abs and 30DS. Yea, abs happened once and 30DS hasn't happened at all. 

I always told myself that I wouldn't be a bride who got in shape for her wedding and then put it all back on and then some after the wedding. Sooo...I better start doing SOMETHING or else that's definitely going to happen to me.

I'm blaming it on it being hot in our room.

I'm going to go sit in our comfy chair, watch TV and eat the snack sized bag of Smart Food that I got.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's in this boat...please?!

  • Ugh, you are not the only one!  I can't believe that I let myself put on a few pounds already either.  I keep saying that I will run again.... not happening yet.  I also keep telling myself that I will get out to the barn more than 3 days a week to train my horse, which is also not going that well.  I don't know what is up with this!  Especially since I used to practically live for my barn and riding time!!  It's so frustrating- that flabby belly feeling is NOT GOOD.  Wish I had some good advice for you... but I think that I am one of the ones needing that advice too!  We need an intervention!!

  • I managed to make it to the gym for hour long sessions 4 days last week and that is my goal for this week as well. I've been setting up my classroom and that just takes a toll on time and energy. Oh, and I've gained a few pounds too...boo.

    Since you're doing couch to 5k, maybe signing up for a race will help with motivation. I know when I eat better I usually workout more. Hope you find that spark of motivation. Oh, and I LOVE sparkpeople.com for fitness/health info and support.

  • sooooo with you hun. i need to get my CONTROL back and stop eating all this CRAP! ugh! i also need to get back into drinking LOTS of water again. that helps! i keep saying, "tomorrow i will start" over and over again! every day! it hasn't happened yet! ugh!

  • I am there too...Ahhh it stinks! I keep setting goals for myself like days to start the process and they keep getting pushed back....I've been kinda waiting for school to start because then I can eat more smaller meals instead of just B L and D cuz of my long days.

    I don't really know how to gte back on track but something needs to start it!

  • I have been walking a ton (living in the city versus living in the middle of suburbia will do that)... but hopefully the incentive of getting vacation time for going to the gym at work will get me in there!!  I think we can get two extra days.  Also-  my new employer participates in virgin healthmiles, so walking will get me giftcards for clothes and things!!

     

     

  • umm yeah youre totally not alone. ive been being SOO lazy lately and for no good reason! but on Sunday i decided i was going to really buckle down and get healthier and ive been doing really good with my WW points and stuff since then. :)

  • You're definitely not the only one!  Granted, I can't work out due to the accident - I'm still having back spasms - but they're easing up and I NEED to get back into the workout routine of 30DS at least 3, if not 4-5 times a week!!!
